Thanks for watching Apache Chief! This car was just at the Goodguys Scottsdale event cruising the "parking lots" and does get driven a lot! If you're local to the Phoenix area, you'll likely see again! Thanks for commenting!
Nice Presentation《☆》😎👍🏾Best looking Aspen R/T I've ever seen & very quick. A buddy of mine had one back in the early 90s. He won Track Champion Sportsman division 3 times at our 1/8th mile dragstrip, Jax Raceways. It was painted satin black primer. It had a 360 automatic. He put a MoparPerformance decal on the rear window but it was re-spelled as MoparRomance :*: Greetings from⛾Florida🤳new friend here🤓🎱☮🔊✌👍🏾
Great video ! My parents used to own a 1976 Dodge Aspen 4 door sedan when I was a young in the 70s it brought back some good memories lol the body rusted but the mechanicals were bullet proof . CHEERS ..
I have a 1979 Dodge Aspen R/T with the police 360 4 bbl and automatic trans it has the rally wheels the rear spoiler the Tuff steering wheel it's black with red interior and love the car I had a standard Aspen with a super six as my first car when I got my license and that's what made me what a another one.
Greetings from the UK. The F body has always been a rare car here and even rarer due to me, I've managed to have a '76 Aspen Coupe, '78 Volare station wagon and '80 Volare sedan cop car. I fitted a '68 383 Hi-Po with twin 4bbl Carter AFB, TF727 and 8 3/4LSD into the '76 Aspen as my drag car. Both the Volares were parted out (too much rot), some parts kept back for the Aspen, rest either sold or ended up being weighed in at the junk yard. I changed to a '67 Barracuda notch back fitted with a 440/727/8 3/4LSD in 2005 and parted out the Aspen, finally moved away from American cars/drag racing in 2010.
Hello asp383! Nice to meet you from across the pond! Thanks so much for watching and joining in our ITCCT family! Thanks for sharing your fun memories! Did you also see this epidose with the Volare wagon? th-cam.com/video/Xn5aYrguhb8/w-d-xo.html
Nice Mopar! Good to see the Aspen/Volare getting some love. These cars got a bum rap. I had a '76 Volare w/ 318 and pretty rare 4 speed overdrive manual shifter on the floor. It was a great highway cruiser...got 25 MPG on trips. It was very dependable...don't know why they got a reputation for being lemons. These cars are a great candidate for a reasonable '70's Mopar restomod if you can find one with minimal rust. I think these are better looking than the Duster/Demon body.
Thanks for watching and for the great comment, Steve! We agree and think you're right about these cars being very cool and hopefully we'll see more of them coming out as restos or restomods soon!
Great looking car! I just love the way this car looked.Maybe if Mopar put more horse power in this car it would have been greater. I would love to see a restomod of this car. It be a beast of a car. Thanks for sharing your video.
We believe it is the original transmission but we'll check with John. Thanks for the comment and hope you are a subscriber! We have another 1976 Aspen coming in the future!
My very first car was a 77 Dodge Aspen i bought for 300 dollars! Lol, Mine was a piece of junk and barely ran. It broke down on me somewhere and i had no money for a tow so i just left it somewhere.
Nice compliment and we thank you for watching. Though not cool to call out someone you don't know about something you don't know. Maybe you could ask John to clarify his statement?
@@IfThisCarCouldTalk I have been in the car business a long time. I have built many engines and simply put, the 318 is just too small, bore is too small for a decent set of heads.
Where did you get those headers?! I have a 79 Volare that was turned into a street/strip car back in the late 90s that I'm currently restoring and I need headers for it. It has a set of ceremaic coated headers on it now but they're old and starting to rust. Any help would be appreciated
This is my neighbor and friend's Aspen. It is so darn cool. And John is an absolute great guy.
Just saw one of these in a parking lot. I was like “ dodge Aspen?” I had to look it up. Very cool car 👍

I've never seen an aspen that looks this good.
Neither have we! Thanks for the comment and your support of this channel!
My first car was a 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T bought new through a returning stateside military purchase program, many good memories. It cost me $5k.
Cool John! We really appreciate comments from viewers who share their fond memories. Thanks for your support of our channel!

I had a 76 that was silver with blue stripes. Wish I still had it.

Thank you! You two are the best!
love the way it sits but the grill has to go back to a somewhat factory color the orange on the grill doesn't work.
Thanks for your comment and for watching!
I agree - this is a mostly beautiful car but the orange grill doesn't fit
Same transmission ?? Great color contest too.
We believe it is the original transmission but we'll check with John. Thanks for the comment and hope you are a subscriber! We have another 1976 Aspen coming in the future!

So glad you like it! She is a sweet ride! Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Cool minus the GM hood
Thanks for watching. John loves his car and drives the wheels off of it. Personal taste is part of what makes this hobby so great. Keep watching!

I'd forgotten how great those cars look. I'd love to have one. Factory not too fast but so much potential.
Couldn't agree more! Rarely see them out and about. John is still having a ton of fun with this one! Thanks for watching!
