Privatisation is the trasnfer of goverment owned assets such as education to private companies. Marketisation has led to privatisation, formerly comprehensive schools were funded by LEAs however marketisation policies made this no longer the case and allowed schools to gain funding from other sources and central government. Education is a multi-billion pound market private companies seek to gain access to and they do this through Public-private partnerships (PPPs) and contracts, due to the decrease in LEAs powers former seniors of local authorities have also left to join private companies that run and fund schools (I think most of this is correct I'm still revising lol)
@LH-sh2tz privatisation is all about the trend of things in schools starting to become more and more controlled by private companies outside of the educational sector. This mostly refers to the use of companies exogenously and endogenously, which means companies being the owners of the things inside school (endogenous, think endoskeleton as in 'inside') which is all about the implication on putting private companies' processes into the structure of a school, like teacher-peformance-based-pay. For 'exogenous' privatisation (see the word change, 'exo-' as an opposite of 'endo-') it refers to the ownership of outside companies that influence schools outside of education, mostly seen by stuff like PFI (private financing inititive) which is used the fund buildings in schools to benefit both parties involved, while the manufacturers make a profit based on interest. This is exogenous (outside of school) because it is not impacting the roles and processes inside school, unlike endogenous privatisation which sees private companies subzcontracting cleaners, canteen staff, etc.
Also it doesn't come on the sociology spec much, there has never been a direct question about it. Same deal as Phenomenology and Ethnomethodology. Its something you can throw out for mostly marketization but won't be a lone question.

how are privatisation and marketisation different
