I wanted to post this comment just in case anyone is watching this video for similar reasons. I suffer from chronic UTIs so I have to be careful with what I put in my bath. Bubble baths do not technically cause UTIs, but they can lead to an infection if the skin in that general area becomes irritated. Irritaton or inflammation in that area leaves you more susceptible to harmful bacteria thus leading to an infection. I love my bubble baths and that is why am here to be a little more frugal and have control of what is going into my bubble bath. I have very mildly sensitive skin, but due to my health issues I take extra precautions when it comes to bathing products to avoid skin inflammation and potential infection. I find it helpful to do a patch test on small area of skin, most often the inside of my wrist and wait at least a day to see if any irritation occurs before I go ahead and use the product. I am excited to test out this bubble bath and see if it could be a good alternative for me. 😁
I used to as well. Its most likely due to overgrown candida that was the case for me i only found that out after my naturopath requested my hair for a dna test. So then i was recommend to go vegan for 6 weeks as bacteria and infection love dairy and feed off it. I also took my naturopaths mixture of herbs and high doses of vit c zinc and d and six weeks later after my retest my candida was gone. 10 years on i still have no utis
I'm really glad I read the comments, I was planning on making this with my preschool class tomorrow, but I'm going to have them use shampoo and glycerin instead.
Have you ever tried Aritha powder from Indian grocery. Mix with some Neem and create a watery paste. Apply like a mask to your hair. When you rub the mixture it will start to bubble, because aritha is the REAL natural non chemical soap that bubbles. I hope this may be of benefit and Neem powder mask left dry for at least an hour removes most oil and acne. Thank you for your wonderful video!
My BF cannot tolerate ANY scent . So NO bubble bath for me.. I am getting my bathroom remodeled and I am going to toss out all my other cleaning supplies and keep it simple. This will be great for my Tubby Time!!! I need to research dr bronners again to make other cleaning supplies.
Thank you so much for this video! I've been using so much lavender lately I'm definitely going to need to order more. Can't wait to take a bath tonight!
Wow I haven’t been able to take a bubble bath in years because I have very sensitive skin. I used this and didn’t have any irritation. I’m glad I found this channel. Do you have any suggestions on natural deodorant that works?
Hi Jae, I've been making my own tiny jam jar size deodorant for a few years now saving hundreds of pounds and..it works, you don't smell sweaty. Try 1tbl coco oil, 1/4 tsp arrowroot powder and baking soda plus a few drops of your favourite essential oil. If you do have a skin irritation then lessen the soda a bit. Try it 👍 Pam, Manchester, England.
I heard you say all you need is Castile soap and veg. Glycerin and I jumped for joy! I I’ve had these two things on hand for a while with no idea what to do with them. My kids have been missing bubbles baths so I made it as you were talking. Threw it in my husbands bath but it didn’t sud up. I’ll try again in my kids bath though before I give up trying to make my own stuff lol
@@ouroilyhouse You must have "soft" water. Anybody who doesn't should measure the amount of liquid castile soap they need to make suds in a measured volume of their water, adding a little soap between shakings until the suds hold. Multiply the amount of soap that took by the ratio of a bathtubful to the volume of the water sample. For many people that'd wind up taking a ridiculous amount of soap.
Hi, Thanks for the video. I tried this recipe but it created a crumbly ish residue which floated on top of the water and some sunk to the bottom as well. No bubbles created. Any ideas please on what may have gone wrong? Thanks
I had lots of conflicting comments on this recipe. It works great for some and not at all for others. I did a little digging and figured out that it has to do with having hard or soft water.
I followed the recipe with newly purchased Castile soap and vegetable glycerin and it didn’t sud up at all. Just made my bath a milky color. Any idea what happened there?
Do you have any suggestion for essential oil mixes for different moods? I have a diffuser that at the moment I’m only really using lavender.... any tips would be fab 😀
Not in the same bath you use the bubble bath in. If the bubble bath works in your water, and you add Epsom salt to the same bath, then you'll see the same curds, scum, and lack of bubbles reported by those for whom it doesn't work.
Water "hardness". A bathtubful of MOST people's waters has too much calcium and/or magnesium for this to work without using a large amount; could require literally CUPS full of liquid castile soap in some waters with a large tub. Anyone wanting to try this recipe, unless they have a water softener, should test a measured sample of their water with the liquid soap to see how much soap it takes to make suds in a given amount of water. Multiply the amount of soap needed by the ratio of the water sample you use to the amount of water in a bathtub.
Ingredients: 16-ounce spray bottle 1/2 cup castile soap 10 drops wild orange 10 drops lemon 10 drops lime Directions: Add essential oil and castile soap to spray bottle and top off with water. You can add 1 tablespoon to a sink of warm water or spray one time on each dish to wash individually.
Tried this with coconut oil a few years back and it didn't work at all. No bubbles. So proof of concept with a small amount so you don't waste your all to expensive castile soap and other ingredients.

I'm so glad you posted this! We switched to natural soaps (mostly castile) a couple years ago, and the thing my kids have missed most is bubble bath.
You're welcome!
I also use natural soaps! I buy mine from lush! They’re very pretty! Feels like a hotel soap!
@Forex Wizard ik its expensive but its nice
and i see why its expensive

You're welcome!
This video would be best served with a title amendment like "ALL-NATURAL BUBBLE BATH THAT WORKS WITH SOFT WATER!"
Thank you for this recipe! My son loves bubble bath and I’ve been meaning to look for a more natural recipe and way to make it!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for this video! I've been using so much lavender lately I'm definitely going to need to order more. Can't wait to take a bath tonight!

Okay so I did exactly what you said and I did not get any bubbles but the water felt nice and clean.
i just tried too and there is no bubble

Update. It didn’t suds up. It looks like a milk bath but with soap. Where did I go wrong with 2 ingredients!?
Hmmm I am not sure, did you measure it correctly? It gets really bubbly usually.

That's What im Talking about! Thank you love.
Thank you for the simplicity!!!
Thanks, great video! What’s the shelf life?
Can the Castile soap be added to melted shea or cocoa butter and ket harden to make a bar soap??
I'll be trying this recipe. Thanks Laura! Any suggestions for spring eo diffuser recipes?
How long would this last once made up in the jar please?

That is the same thing I experienced. Not a bubble bath at all
Yea it didn’t work for me at all. So I’m guessing it works with soft water?
No bubbles for me
Does this cause the bottom of the tub to be extra slippery once the water drains?
How long will this keep in the jar
thanhs,How to transform solid castile soap into liquid?
Could you put it into a solid bar with baking soda or corn flour etc
How long would this type or solution last?
Hi love your channel, I'm always tuning in!! One question how many drops of EO for a baby (6 months)?
Is this suppose to suds up (like a bubble bath ) because mine didn’t ?
It depends on your water type. I found this out after making the video.
I want to make this for my grandchildren. Does it had bubbles if not how do I create bubbles? 🙏IA
Mine doesn't bubble at all... I used coconut oil instead of glycerine. Is that the reason?
does this sting eye? like for kids?
thank for the video! I’m wondering; can you use vegetable oil instead of vegetable glycerin?
Vegetable oil is not good to eat or put on your skin. It is full of ultra processed seed oils.
I followed the recipe with newly purchased Castile soap and vegetable glycerin and it didn’t sud up at all. Just made my bath a milky color. Any idea what happened there?
I found out that it depends on if you have hard or soft water. I made a new recipe that works for everyone!
Great. Can you post the link to that please?
@@ouroilyhouse can you share the recipe? Same thing happened to mine! My 5 year old is really missing her bubble baths!
Same here
Is her new recipe available?

Yes! I have a video for "diffuser blends for mood" on my channel.
Our Oily House cool I’ll deffo look 👍🏽
Could I add Epsom salt to the bath? Not necessarily the bubble bath mix. Just the bath it self?
Yes! I have a couple bath salt videos on my channel if you want to check them out.
Not in the same bath you use the bubble bath in. If the bubble bath works in your water, and you add Epsom salt to the same bath, then you'll see the same curds, scum, and lack of bubbles reported by those for whom it doesn't work.
How do you get the ingredients? Can you grow various things to make those ingredients needed?
Everything is linked here: www.amazon.com/shop/ouroilyhouse
Will this irritate the eyes? Just thinking for my toddler.
Castile soap is not tear free!
I tried this twice and didn't get any bubbles
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
We have soft water and still didn’t bubble. Anyone got an update on this?
Love it 😀
What is vegetable glycerin?? Does anyone know?
It thickens and add adds more lather.
It's glycerin (also known as glycerol, glycerine, IUPAC name 1,2,3-propanetriol) made from vegetable oil.
I made this recipe and it did not bubble...any idea of what could have gone wrong?

so what did O do wrong
if there was no bubbles in the bath kol
It can depend on if you have hard or soft water.
Show it working like the title says. Mine didn’t make a single bubble.
I have been searching and searching for your dish soap recipe and I can't find it?
Ingredients:
16-ounce spray bottle
1/2 cup castile soap
10 drops wild orange
10 drops lemon
10 drops lime
Directions:
Add essential oil and castile soap to spray bottle and top off with water. You can add 1 tablespoon to a sink of warm water or spray one time on each dish to wash individually.

Third😀
Even the castille soap has bad ingredients.
First
Second 🤣
Sadly this made absolutely no bubbles at all!
It depends on water type.
Yeah, none for me either :(
DOES NOT WORK!!! I had minimal bubbles!!
I found out this totally depends on soft or hard water. I came up with a different recipe for bubble bars that work on both types of water.
