Damn I really want one just debating the price in my head but seems awesome. He should totally do an in person match with him and ster showing off the game then I feel like if I knew the gameplay I'd be all over it something like last time I watched game grumps table top videos.

I agree for the most part, I just wish it was a little cheaper. 10 dollars a booster pack and 80 bucks for the starter kit is kinds ALOT. Was kind of expected I third or even half that price

I know right, I freaking love that stream. Fun fact, if you didn't know: as soon as he sees a game with "Frog" in the name, he will play it. There's several other frog-related games he has played on stream. The mind of our Lord are truly a mystery to the common man.

He didn't say that the cards arent flavored so i'll assume that this is one of the discoverable things he mentioned.
This has to be one of my favorite series of streams ever. I love the energy that jerma brings to these games and how much fun it is to watch him play these games is hard to explain. The games themselves are amazing too, and I probably would've had just as much of a smile the whole time if I played it myself but sharing the experience with everyone (para-socially lol) is chefs kiss!

@@gombu_ Jerma doesn't want it to become too exclusive. If cards are too rare, not everybody could get the cards they want. I think the holo cards are exciting enough for now
@@fudgyboo Having more rarities of the same card actually makes a card easier to get, in the long run. I don't know which type of "rarity" the comment you're replying to meant, but more rarities can only make cards harder to get if they are rarity locked with set rotation.
In that sense, having multiple foil treatments of Bugleberry makes the common Bugleberry cheaper. If, however, you can only get One Guy in foil, then it can be a problem.
I'm hoping they at least do well enough for a second print to be considered. I don't exactly live in a country with a dense population, so it can be a bit difficult to find physical games that aren't in the mainstream. Because of this, it's going to be unusually hard to find anyone who plays Grotto Beasts. Otherwise, it's going to end up as a dust farm in my wardrobe, like my Pokemon cards.
@@In.New.York.I.Milly.Rock. I know you responded 2 months ago, but the guy was talking about there only being two types of cards, common and rare. Not talking about foils or anything. I mentioned the holos because they are a way to involve rarity without making it harder to actually get all of the cards.
My uncle has an old binder from when he was a kid full of all kinds of grotto beasts, probably worth quite a bit after all these years

I hope Jerma or somebody in the community creates a way to play Grotto Beasts online. I've been a huge Yugioh and Magic fan for a long time. And I can confidently say online simulators where all cards are free is a great way to pick up players and build the community. It allows anyone to potentially become a great player. Which will then incite them into buying physical cards. I know Jerma's goal with Grotto Beasts isn't to hit Pokemon and Magic levels. But it would still be a fun thing to have, and he could even do a stream where he versus viewers.
God I'm smart. I hope Grotto Beats digital version is successful and people have a lot of fun with it.
