The question here is not who appoints the DG ISI.The REAL question here is, why was no action/inquiry ordered against Faiz Hameed,immediately on the Top City incident.He kept on serving, became the DG ISI and became a Corps Commander. This is a joke with the country and the taxpayers.

Whether the accountability process is transparent or not, is decided by the people of Pakistan by the DG ISPR and secondly army has no right to ask the Judiciary to make the former judges accountable. If the Army is an institution then the Judiciary is also an institution and they know what they are doing.

Balochistan - Just a Recap*
Balochistan as we know today did not exist in 1947.
There were two political entities:
~British Bln, turned into Quetta Div in 1956.
~ Kalati Bln which acceeded to Pakistan on 27 Mar 48.
Quaid e Azam allowed the Khan to continue as Head of new designation ‘Bln States Union’,
it was turned into Kalat Div in 1956.
*In 1947* ,
only British Bln had 9 schools whereas Kalati Bln just had madrassas.
Present Bln came into being only in 1970, with abolishing of One Unit.
*Balochistan: The other Side of the Picture.*
Before 1947, there were a total of 114 schools in Balochistan including 1 high, 16 secondary and 97 primary and the literacy rate of Balochistan was only 5.5%.
In 1970, the first university of Balochistan, the University of Balochistan was established and in 1987, the second university in Balochistan, Khuzdar University of Engineering and Technology, was established.

Today more than
~15000 schools,
~145 colleges,
~Two girls cadet colleges,
~13 cadet colleges
~including 2 cadet colleges for women,
~5 medical colleges,
~12 universities are active in Balochistan.
Today, Balochistan's literacy rate is 54.5%.
Balochistan shares 56% of the 815 scholarships available to students across the country.
More than 45000 students of Balochistan are receiving quality education in military institutions.
Pak Army provides scholarships to 7728 students annually which amounts to Rs 154.98 million.
53% of local students of Balochistan are benefiting from Army Public Schools alone and these schools are providing employment to 1050 local teachers.
In addition, Frontier Corps (FC) has set up 94 schools in remote areas of the province where 92.5% of the local students of Balochistan are under education while 1100 local teachers are also providing employment.
16 seats have been graduated from Balochistan Institute of Technical Education so far including 8959 students including 2505 students.
The educational facilities available at this time through Pak Army in Balochistan are far better than the Punjab province.
There is one educational institution for 965 students in Balochistan while there is one educational institution in Punjab for 2630 students.
In Balochistan, one teacher for 305 students while in Punjab, one teacher for 411 students.
There is a cadet college in Balochistan for 1,150,000 students while there is a cadet College in Punjab for around 7,100,000 students.

Mr Mansoor Ali khan why don’t you raise a question on how a corrupt individual like Faiz Hameed rise to such a powerful position like DG ISI? Both the previous COAS and DG ISI have been declared corrupt after their retirement, and the same goes for several ex-COAS who have been accused of abusing their power and interfering in Pakistan’s political scene. This highlights the systemic flaws within the military, where it seems only corrupt individuals rise to the top. So, how can we trust that the current army chief is honest and genuinely working for the country's welfare? Even a child can see what the military establishment is doing today. Why are most powerful institutions headed by ex miltary personnel or people who have good connections with the military. Isn't this misuse of power? What makes us think that the institutions work in welfare of the country or people as they themselves have gained that post/position through boot polishing and not by merit. Let me name a few institutions headed by army: our NAB head is a retired Lt. General, and the PTA head is an ex-Major General. While the PTA head may have some experience in digital transformation, and likely has "some" knowledge in this field, what makes us believe that someone with a strong military background-an institution known for rigid control and enforcement-is best suited for such a position? Especially when there are countless, far far far more qualified professionals in our country who could excel in this role, driving real innovation and growth. Instead, positions like these often seem more about control, particularly when it comes to silencing digital voices.
Why isn’t anyone speaking up against the corrupt military? The media focuses on corrupt politicians or "retired" army officials but remain silent about those currently in power. No one questions them while they’re in office; they're above the law. Yet, they will eventually be blamed after retirement-once they've wrecked Pakistan’s economy and amassed wealth through corruption. Also, when a media person speaks against the military , they are abducted, tortured and God knows what. The system, especially within the military, is in urgent need of reform. Once people see that powerful individuals ( especially serving ones ) and institutions are being held accountable , it will create a ripple effect across other sectors-be it NAB, FIA, the government, or development institutions like CDA and LDA, even down to smaller-scale organizations. When accountability is established at the highest levels, people will think twice before engaging in corrupt practices. The fear of consequences will bring about a shift in behavior, fostering a culture of integrity and transparency across the board. Also, I am well aware that there are good people too in the military, but from what I have seen many of the honest military personnel do not tend to serve long in the army and are continously posted here and there, they don't really rise that high in the ranks.
Furthermore, we all know the our votes seem meaningless, as every election appears rigged in some way or another. Everyone knows who brought Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, and Bhutto to power-the military. Each leader was backed by the army to counterbalance another political force. Now, it’s the PDM which has been brought forward to weaken Imran Khan, but they’re failing miserably. We seem to be a part of a Game of Thrones episode but an episode running in an infinite loop, where the "Awaam" is the "game" and the politicians/military are part of the Throne and would go to any lengths to sit on it. In fact, the situation feels more like Civilians vs. Military, as we all know that the awaam’s votes don’t matter, and they have no say in the country's direction. How can a country prosper when the people have no say and trust in their politicans or military. The military system needs fundamental change, they need to be held accountable by law and same goes for the politicians or should I say boot polishers/frontrunners. Whether it's Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif if they have won the elctions by majority, let them run the country without military interference, allowing civilians to determine the fate of PTI or PML-N through their democratic tenure and performance. This is the law, and it should be respected. The people must have the final say in governance, free from external manipulation, as democracy demands. Our country will only thrive when citizens know that their voices and voting rights are being genuinely heard and respected. Only then can we move towards a stronger, more just nation.
