How I Organized My Workshop For Furniture Flipping

- Part 2- I redid my whole work shop! In THIS section of my work room tour, peek inside my cupboards and drawers to see what tools & products I use and how I organize them. I'll also show you 19 things I HAVE to have in my workroom. Realistically, there are probably 150 must haves, but a few of these are things that maybe some people wouldn't think of when just starting out.

🔅Please note🔅... Most of us don't start off with a workroom like this, this stocked. I started off hand sanding, then bought a mouse sander, then bought an orbital sander, and most recently a SurfPrep. I did it all as I was able to. We are all on different journeys with different goals. This is just a glimpse into MY journey, and where I'm at now. ❤️

I’m a 75 yr old widow who did furniture art and upholstery when in teens and 20s til I married. Now I’m older I’ve started collecting furniture to paint or repair for friends, family and myself. For my 75 birthday gift my son and daughter in law are having a creative cottage built for me. It’s 20 x 35 with a full bathroom and walk-in shower if I or my vintage friends need to use it with a walker or wheelchair. We put the epoxy flakes on my floor using lots of white, gray and black. My cottage sits next to the swimming pool with a front porch. I can enjoy my grandkids and friends if they want to swim. Hopefully it’ll be finished by Easter. I’m so excited to get back to painting, upholstering, etc. Everyone has their orders in on what they want me to do. Thank you so much for sharing your work shop. 😁 I have my supplies in bins on my deck waiting to be organized once finished. Thank you so much for your inspiration 💕💕😃😃

I loved watching this, Angie because it resonates so strongly with how I feel about organization. "A place for everything, and everything in its place." As one ages, a lack of good organization habits leads to a lot of frustration because one cannot find things! I have a longtime friend who calls me when he can't find something in his house. Because of my observational skill and memory, he knows I will likely be able to tell him where that something is most likely to be found. LOL
There’s nothing like an organized space w/lots of storage to crank up your creative juices. I have 1/3rd of the family room with built in cupboards and desk and hubs and I turned 2 lower kitchen cabinets and an old table top into a great fabric cutting table/storage. 👍🏻💕💚
I was married to the most organized person that I know. The Best ExWife Ever (BEWE for short) came over while I was watching this. You impressed her. That is no small feat. You motivate me to do stuff. Not always the same stuff as you but, stuff. Thanks for your vids. Also, getting to 100K in less that a year says a BIG bunch about your work and how it is presented. You ROCK. Bit of a "fanboy here".

Love the cabinet color! Gosh, nothing better than a well-equipped work area. Gorgeous!
The fun part is, in an empty workshop, opening all drawers and cabinets and starting to empty out boxes and bins to place tools, bits & bobs in their 'proper' place. Sometimes trial and error. Often you find you have more than you thought, rarely less. Great looking shop and the cabinets as well as dividing wall storage! Nice!

I'd like to add that someone may have a gift for doing a specific work but if they don't have the right tools it's far more difficult to bring that gift to the surface. Angie, Thanks for the tour. I recently found your channel and really like your style. We think a lot alike. I'm still in my first shop 12' X 12' space 10 years. I have been rethinking a change. The space has served me well but it's getting a bit cramped. As I have collected stuff the open space has gotten smaller and smaller. So this tour has helped me to take the plunge, and of course the cold weather has set in. Working in the shop is not doable. I also do upholstery It was how I got into refinishing. My projects always had a element of wood that just needed to be cleaned up. My philosophy The 4 R's "RE-Imagine / RE-cycle / RE-finish / RE-Upholster." Keep it Out of the Landfills. Thanks again!

Your workshop- This is so cool. So proud of you…
I was going to write a note to you about the 3m sand paper. Just tried it on a Veneered table this weekend. It is amazing. It lasted much longer than regular sandpaper. I highly recommend you give it a try! No swirl marks or issues at all!

A wonderful tour of your workplace
Wow that's quite the collection of tools. I'm one of those girls who loves wondering around hardware/tool shops oohing,and aahing over power tools but I haven't managed to amass much of a collection for myself yet. You've given me some great ideas for some 'must have' items that I don't have yet and also some handy items I didn't even know existed. My personal favourite tool is a japanese saw which I love to use whenever I can.
I have a Japanese saw - I also enjoy using it!

HahahHa- I left the bag of hardware with them and came back the next day around lunch time. They input everything in between customers (they were able to suspend the transaction in between and keep adding to it). They were relieved that I suggested that, haha
