- Slow pitch jigging is a unique way to catch a wide variety of species fish 🌟 In comparison to vertical jigging, slow pitch jigging doesn't require nearly as much cardio but can provide just as much if not more action! On the first drop Emily fought a huge shark on her jig for over 30 minutes 🦈 From there the bite picked up and we caught almaco jacks, groupers and mutton snappers! 🐠 Over the course of our Yankee Capts trip to Pulley Ridge we both began to appreciate the art of slow pitch jigging!

Selling jigs is the biggest racket going. They are so easy to make and the mark-up is incredible especially when you think about all the effort that goes into a handmade popper or stick bait. Literally melt some lead, pour it into the mold, hit with some sand paper and put a hot press holographic sticker on it hit it with some epoxy and it's ready to fish. One person can easily produce 20 an hour and the bigger ones are actually the easiest. I made my own molds frim jigs I purchased and even made my own designs but actually it's just as cheap to buy unfinished blanks and customize them on a rainy day. Don't throw your money away on expensive jigs. It's a total reaction bite. The fish aren't looking at it long enough to make a decision about how realistic or pretty it is. you could literally drill a hole in a heavy table knife and catch fish all day.

Have you ever considered tying the leader directly to the assist hook solid ring?
Then a split ring connecting the jig and the solid ring.
That way you won't have to worry about the split ring coming apart when you hook to a big one.
I wouldn't recommend tying on to a split ring. Jig, split ring, solid ring, attach assist hooks to solid ring the attach leader to solid ring. I see some people using a snap swivel between the leader and solid ring but that's just something else to go wrong imo.

It's called a "sea anchor" or drift sock. Used to slow the drift speed of the boat

When I go for sharks, I'm always caught between using no wire, more bites but less chances at landing or use wire, less bites, and higher chances of landing.......sucks even more when you aren't targeting them lol takes me about 20 minutes to calm down from losing a fish, y'all handled it well.
We prefer no wire more bites but it’s a tough call sometimes

What do i mean…you expalin everything from top to bottom, but it would be great if you place the entire setup in the description. I love to compare everything evryone using to what’s availabe here in the Philippines. As for the men videos, they always forget one-two steps as everything a Secret. I have two questions: (1)Do you use fish finder when you jigging? (2) When it comes to current and depth, how many grams you are using per 100 ft? Anyway, keep on jigging.
