This angel performed life saving heart surgery on my sister and grandmother. He's so clever and humble. Off the scale respect and love

Oh my goodness, this feels like being propelled back to the 80's at the Hammersmith Hospital , London, when I 'worked with', or rather irritated, this guy. Well done anyway.

That would be amazing. I don’t no much about it but am pretty sure getting a transplant isn’t easy you probably need the right blood type, age of donor could be a problem massive waiting list. Could you imagine artificial heart just being a thing. Waiting list wouldn’t be near as bad. Probably be more expensive but it would save more lives . An hopeful there would be no risk of another heart failure.

Just get a 3-d printing machine. Program the exact dimensions of the heart down to the finest details, and make sure the material chosen to be printed is a material that is organic to the body, get the patients genome, map their DNA structure, clone their DNA to produce the material needed to 3-d print the artificial heart, and walla you have yourself a perfectly replicated and functioning organic heart.

What you have described is theoretical and under research. In terms of theory, you can use the term JUST. But Implementing these are not that easy. This man Dr. Stephen westaby along with many reputed doctors and surgeons dedicated his whole life working on artifical heart. Numerous patients died and many suffered agony during trials, artifical heart also comes with significant limitations and adversities. Its all easy in description but quite a different scenario clinically.
      Read up kid!
Start with biography of Dr Westaby "Fragile Lives" itself.

3-d printing them could work but the ones we have tried so far degrade after only 45 minutes

How would the information from the patient's DNA be converted into a language that a 3D printer could understand?
