i just started practicing this piece today so i was looking for an arrangement to listen to and this was a masterpiece of a performance. as a black woman its so hard to find people playing pieces by black composers, let alone those players being black themselves. it inspires me to keep going and to be myself as a musician and a black woman and how those intertwine into how i play, or at least try to. thank you so much.
I feel like Sheku's smile around 1:30 was definitely for his brother. Ive seen some comments say it's because Sheku hit the right note. But it seemed more like he was impressed with his brother's intonation, especially because his sister was also smiling. Idk I just interpreted it as a lovely family moment.
This is absolutely breathtaking. I feel so blessed to be a musician in your lifetime so I can appreciate the absolute wonder that is your playing. I played this song today by myself, and listening to you three play it made me cry. Please please never stop being amazing
Sheku... Isata... always an exquisite experience with you two. Braimah, very nice to see you’ve joined them on this. Coleridge-Taylor is a favorite of mine... Very, very, very beautiful Kanneh-Masons. Sincere thanks for using and sharing your gifts for our enjoyment as well as your own. God bless you each as you continue to live and grow. :)
Each musician in this very talented family is visibly moved by their music! Their feelings and passion for this beautiful music is contagious! Very moving performance. I love the eye contact between siblings and wondered what they were thinking? If anyone made a mistake, no one noticed! Love you all and hope to see much more!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
I am transported as I listen and the music goes through me. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the whole world...it’s a taste of heaven, I imagine, to experience this kind of beauty on earth. ♥️

I'm in the U.S. and just a few days ago we experienced the storming of our Capitol Building. Knowing my sorrow, a friend sent me the link to this sublime performance. Thanks, I needed that.

My thoughts on these type of comparisons is i would also love to see a comparison with a bow people are more likely to own. So say the test bow vs a 1k to 2k bow. As i expect most bows people own to not be as good as yours haha.

Hello, Bec. You left your comment a year ago, did you manage to be able to play it? And what instrument did you play it on?

It's round 1:27, I guess the bluesiness and uncertainty of that chromatic passage sparked some joy :D
@@Marunius right, I was just trying to point out his sister was also smiling at that time. Either way, cute moment c:
