I grew up singing this song my Father was a Revered we could sing it early in the morning and before we go to bed. It became our family athem. I did not know the reason at that time I was just following the crowd. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior every sentence of this song means alot to me and reflects the Love of God in our lives. Praise God
It reminds of my village Anglican church in the 70s after the main service born again would stand in a circle and sing Tukutendereze Yesu and each would give a testimony. Giving testimony became my habit. Its a Christian national song cos it is sung in Anglican churches every where. How I wish it could be translated in other local languages to create a big impact.
Reminds me too of my late Grany Namwandu Luyima e kabowa used to sing this song all the time I can remember at home. she was a Tukutendereza mulokole. God bless her soul.beautiful memories
An yes, it is an uplifting song of the East African Revival; the Bishop Kivengere; great men and women of Faith. It reminds me as well of those Insurgence days in Teso, in which the Born agains would move and that we would follow them as kids. It remains my favorite when am low and high moments song.
THANK YOU my late MOTHER ALEXANDRIA BANURA NYAKAANA for how you taught me to love JESUS and live a true christian life then you would sing this SONG TUKUTENDEREZA YESU may your souls rest in peace
Beautiful revival song. Made me read about revivals that took place around the world. East Africa Revival and the Hebrides Revival stood out to be most amazing with lasting impact. God bless our parents who left for us such a great heritage. May the light of Christ continue to shine upon the world.
Wow! What a nice song. Although I don't understand what it means, I vividly recal how we used to sing this song when growing up in ACK Church. God bless you.
This s a glorious song whether I understand the words or not. It was in my home everyday as I grew up from my grandmother, her friends my mother, father and their many friends and brethren. Love it. They sang it like it was sang here while the mockers asked whether they are singing in unknown tongues.
When am down spiritually, I do remember my mum singing this song to me, then she tells me (wou Dana, geno pod nitiere) son of my grandmother still there is hope, then I do stand up, let it go, dust my self, and continue, sincially whenever I hear this song, I see my mum, and my childhood as an Anglican youth
Reminds me when my late grandies after being lowered in grave the sung this song forcing me shed tears as it meant last bye bye when lowered down to the grave..indeed memories are not enough but needed them always..
wonderful and blessing hymn. my grandmother throughout her adult life till she went to be with the Lord @90 years, a decade ago. I still love and cherish the words even though I don't understand Kiganda.
