Soooo adorable. Wanna make one myself but ive been only crocheting since April. But is really my go to hobby. My biggest project so far has been 2 cat beanis, flowers (sowing them on my bag for school), and a tiny pig. But the hat u made was adorable
Thank you! I think this would be doable for an adventurous beginner! The main stitches needed were single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. You also need to know how to crochet in the round.
Unfortunately I can't because it is someone else's pattern. I did leave the link in the video description to purchase it from the creator! The pattern has tons of helpful pictures!
www.etsy.com/shop/TheTwistedHatter. This is the site for the seller...it looks like the pattern is sold out at the moment, but hopefully it will be back soon!
I’m doing this right now but I’m having trouble with row 46 idk if it’s because my tension and i can’t see the bump to put my hook into. I’m thinking about frogging the whole row and try again lmao
I had trouble with that too! I looked back at my work and I think I did front loop single crochet instead of BPSC. That way I could see loops for the ruffle on the underside more easily. Hope that helps!
@@StitchesandScribbles I made it through I redid 45 with a lose tension I was able to put my hook into the stitch than but boy that was hard on my hands lol
How are you using two threads of yarn is it from the same color cone your using? Do you have to use two threads? I bought the pattern and was really confused when it said you use two yarns but didn't explain anything lol 😅 I'm to new I guess
Yes! I did use two stands as the pattern directed. I think I just pulled off about half of the cone and wrapped it into a ball. I think if you only used one strand the hat would be very floppy and holey!
I love the way your hat turned out! I recently bought this pattern but I'm struggling immensely with the starting rounds. I've never crocheted with two strands before but this is making me feel like I don't know how to crochet anymore! Do you have any tips on how you started? Am I supposed to continue chaining 1 after each round??
It definitely felt really tight when I started - especially with the two strands! I worked the first few rows very loosely until I got the hang of it. You could also start the rows working loosely with a smaller hook if that makes it easier for you.
So happy to have found you!! I have been searching for this hat pattern. Beautiful and thank you❤
You are so welcome!
@StitchesandScribbles when will the pattern be back up?
@CuriousGrimGoblin I'm not sure! I'm not the pattern designer. I didn't realize it had been taken down!
@@StitchesandScribbles oh darn well thanks!
Oh my goodness, I love it! The ruffle for the mushroom's underside is great.
Right?! I was so happy with how it turned out! I think the pattern designer has another similar one for regular mushroom-top shaped hat.

Could you do a tutorial on making the hat?

@StitchesandScribbles what sucks is it was listed as sold out so we can't buy it anymore
@@ivanaparty85 you can go to her website and buy it still and its cheaper
Do you happen to have another link to make it? It says no longer available 😢

@@adabaez7483 I can imagine!!
For the ruffle are you using two or three double crochets in each stitch? Do you increase in every row? Pls answer🙏ty
I followed the pattern as written for that part! If I remember correctly, it was different for each row.

How long did this take?
If I remember correctly, it was around six hours.
Im a beginner at this so i took on the challenge to make one but my brim turned wavy. What size crochet hook did you use to keep the brim in shape?
I used the hook size that the pattern called for, but I did fewer increase rows on the brim!
Can you show from start to finish
Unfortunately, I can't because it's not my pattern! The pattern has great instructions, and the link to purchase is in the video description!

I also didn't chain one after each round. If I remember correctly, it's worked in seamless rounds.
Thank you very much for the help! I actually got the twist done and working on the brim now!
Do you teach a class?
Unfortunately I don't. I just post here on youtube!
