I met a blue garter snake in my garden and decided to make him a house out of a flower pot. It is designed for humidity. I made it on a Wednesday and found the snake in it on that Friday. Your videos inspired me and I'm glad to have the new resident in the garden.

Walked out on the porch and found my six year old twin boys watching this video. They have been watching all of them and love that most of the videos are filmed in our area. I have been looking for snakes since I was four and would have loved to have videos like this to watch when I was there age. Thanks for the great videos.

Oh and on a hike yesterday one of the boys was in the lead. Suddenly he froze, stepped back slowly and said "venomous snake". Then his brother said "yep, copperhead". Have to say I was proud of the way they handled the surprise encounter. We watched him move off into the brush as we got some good pictures.

We have those Black Banded King snakes here in Kentucky, and there's a reason they're called King snakes, came across one that had a Cotton Mouth about half eaten. When ever we came across one and could safely capture it we'd bring them back to the farm around our feed sheds, kept away the bad snakes and was a terror on rodents.

I'm glad you caught and showed the Racerunner, I appreciate all the snakes and the turtles and really appreciate the Salamanders and other Amphibians, most Herpers are too hung up on snakes only or at least 90% snakes. None of you though show enough lizards!! Even when your in the southwest where there are many awsome lizards to catch, you concentrate so much on snakes it can get to be a little boring. I mean it's cool when you show a bunch of snakes, however some videos you might show ten or more snakes , but only 2 or 3 species, a couple of each is suffice unless its somehow a really exceptional specimen. Try showing more lizards to fill in your videos in addition to the snakes, I have many friends who feel the same way, I mean when your entire episode is of 6 snakes of the same species and 4 more of another and a couple individual of different species, I think instead of showing all six throw in 3 lizards or instead of all 4 toss in a couple lizards, I know many of us would appreciate it.

Again amazing diversity. I don’t think a DOR kingsnake would be a problem if you mark it for educational purposes. After all, the PC crowd is seldom interested in non-fluffy animals. What could that sick Kingsnake have? Could it be disease or poisoned rodents? It is a reminder that diseases exist in the wild too for those AR anti-captivity nutters that claim that things like stuck shed and similar don’t occur in the wild.
