Purbeck seen through old Dorset Films

Swimming, mule-riding, farming and shopping are among the activities captured in this compilation of excerpts from 1930s and 1940s amateur films of Purbeck in dorset. This is one of a series of videos produced by the rural media charity Trilith as part of a Heritage Lottery funded project to put selected pieces of archive film back in to circulation by adding contextual material. Such a pity that looking at old films from the 1930s is the best we can do for Time travel... Still, Dorset looked like a wonderful place to be, as it still must be today, I'm sure.
