I love it. My dad and I built the first 1000whp, 9 second e36 328i back around 05-06. Back when they said 400rwhp max😂 made 715whp on stock internals. And even though we're from Southern MD the car was built at first in Stamford CT. And they continued to sponsor us with free labor and dyno time for years. Was like my second home coming up and staying in Stamford or quite a few times in Greenwich in gigantic mansion right next 50cent/Mike Tysons house. Was wild for us. Everyone up there called us "the rednecks"😂 But such a diverse group of people I got to know from different countries and backgrounds. Jordan from Rk used to tune there, started right around the time we had completed all our goals with the car. Did sell Jordan our tube chassis drag car right around then and then I never seen it or heard about it again. Think he was sending it to cali. This was 08ish. Sry for the novel😂.

M52s usually run almost stock power without the MAF. As an example, my M52B25 only had 2 PS less on the dynmo with the MAF unplugged. I'm so stoked to see what you are gonna do with the swamp rocket and also, that's the perfect name I think!
Finally someone building a 4 door!!! They was used in dtm in the 90’s, NOT the coupe. And if you are going to use it on the ice you should do a aluminum plate in front of your steering. Because they break when they are frozen. Same for the e46

Honestly these E36's have so much rust on them nowadays they're not worth it. The better option is an E46 330i manual with 3,91 diff from X3 2.5 auto. Weight reduce it to 1150kg, put some 300-360 treadwear tires and it'll be perfect for the compound. Also exhaust headers and a lightweight flywheel will help a lot with power gains. I believe Chelsea is prepping the yellow compact which has a 330i zhp engine for the compound event.

You just need an obd1 intake manifold and a RK tune. the obd2 ITM falls on its face after 5K rpm. The intake runners on obd1 are almost 2 times the size of the obd2. so that and a tune you should see about 20-30 whp easy.

Might have a million vacuum leaked. Very common on m52 manifolds. First mod should be M50 manifold and fix vacuum leaks and you might get that idle down

328 with a 3.91 should feel pretty quick , def sounds like she’s hesitating , could be vacuum leak or mistimed vanos
