I agree about F1 97 it's amazing in terms of gameplay, trail braking actually helps in it unlike here. Why do the times only go to the nearest hundredth? The pop up isn't a problem really, if you know the tracks, I still play it regularly to this day.
Love playing games on my n64 waiting for tHis one to come in the post. Out of the 3 consoles we have in the house the N64 gets the most play time of any of them. And a lot of consoles have gone by the way side but not this one.
This was a deeply bad game. Terribly unrealistic and overly finicky handling, cheating AI, ridiculous pit stops, poor sound and sloppy graphics made it vastly inferior to F1 '97, which was older and yet used the same season.
I miss the 90's :(
I always loved the way that all 4 wheels and shocks moved independantly of each other in this great game.
i picked this up for .50 cents the other day. I still can't get enough of this game.
My first F1 game ever. I learnd "pc" racing there and also my first bits of english. 8 years and i understood what the pit said more or less =)
I loved this game this is all I used to play!!
This game made me a Formula 1 addict back in 1999.
thank you man!
Let's see that again!
Ive been playing this game for the last 48 hours and i LOVE IT! 1:10 in monaco anyone faster??

I believe he is playing on rookie mode, which doesn't have the realistic physics. It changes completely once you play champion mode.
This is champion mode isn't it, only that mode the car handles like that.
btw loved this game back then.
worth picking upo?
theres a store nearby which has F1WGPR1&2

This is the Best Viedo Game ever played, they should do a Combination betwenn San Francisco Rush, F-1 & Mario Kasrt wich name would be Mario Rush
really? i remember f1 '97's graphics popped up 100 yards in front of the car whereas this game draws right into the distance.
F1 97's graphics were exactly the same as the previous Formula 1 game by Psygnosis released in 1996, and indeed it had awful pop up.
how do the ferrari have white lines in this but not ps2 games
Psst, a hint: NEVER brake when turning. That'll make you drift. And drifting in this game is somewhat annoying.
no, nintendo 64 + capture board
What difficulty level? I can't get much lower than a 1.03.xx on Champion...
Lol I still have the game with the wheel set
i think this game is better than formula 1 07 for ps3......the graphics for N64 are suberb much better than for psone
Cockpit view was way better. This viewiing angle sucks. Looks way to slow and sluggish.
BRAZIL!
