This was so helpful- I have a few jars of my leftover Bath and Body works candles with burned oit wicks and I've been saving them till I could find a way to use the leftover wax to the fullest. Thank you!

If the wax melt brings out flames it is likely that the wax melts have a high oil content which is highly flammable. Technically its safe as long as nothing is nearby that could catch fire but if the flames are high I would recommend not using them
Wax melts and candles can both be quite expensive especially if they are made from soy wax and have organic essential oils - making them can bring the cost down a lot if you are buying the supplies in bulk. For an essential oil burner the candle is a must for burning the wax melt or the essential oil, out of these two the essential oil would likely work out cheaper in the long run but wax melts and candles have very similar price points.
Great question! If your oil burner is the same size as the one in the video, we wouldn’t recommend it because it could heat the oil burner too much and could cause the oil to start spitting, if the oil burner is bigger it should be fine but again you will have to monitor it to make sure that it is safe. Ryan 😊
Once the wax has melted and the scent has dissipated, you can allow it to cool and then discard it or if it is made from soy wax you can reuse the old wax to make more wax melts if you want to 😊
Hi! It's best not to leave a burning candle unattended, even if it seems safe. Some candles can self-extinguish, but there's still a risk of fire. Always keep an eye on it and make sure it’s completely out before leaving the room.
The wax does not evaporate but the scent does. When you can no longer smell the scent you should put the candle out, let the oil burner cool and replace the wax 😊
Yes of course that would be fine, however I wouldn’t recommend burning the wax melts for the full 8 hours, instead burn them until the essential scent disappears 😊
Hey there! It's normal for wax melts to melt without evaporating, unlike candles. They're designed to release scent when melted and can be reused until the fragrance fades. When the smell weakens but wax remains, it's time for a new melt. To remove old wax, let it harden, then slightly warm the burner to slide out or wipe it away. Hope this helps! 😊
Wax melts are intended for use with an oil burner however there is some safety precautions that you should follow such as not leaving the oil burner unattended, ensuring that the oil burner is sitting on a heatproof coaster etc.
If you place it on a wooden table and it gets hot, it could burn the table leaving a circular mark. If possible, try to find something that you can place underneath the oil burner to stop that from happening
Thanks for your comment! It can be frustrating when staff aren’t familiar with the products they're selling. If you have any questions about using wax melts or oil burners, feel free to ask! We are here to help. ❤️
Can I use an old essential oil burner? My flame is quite far away does this make a difference? How long does the wax melt last in the burner? Does it burn away or just stop scenting and then require replacing?
@@ChrisTheSparky Great questions, I wouldn't be able to comment on your specific oil burner without first seeing it but if the flame is far away it could mean that the oil is not dispersing because it is not getting hot enough, have you tried using it and if so what was the result? Each wax melt is completely different as it would be made with either paraffin wax, soy wax or beeswax and would take a different amount of time to melt but also each one is made with a different amount of essential oil or fragrance and that will determine how long the fragrance lasts, typically a soy wax melt is full melted within 5 minutes and the scent will last up to 30 minutes (even though many companies claim the scent lasting hours which is very misleading)! When the wax has melted and there is no more aroma, the wax melt can be reused to make new melts or it can be disposed of. I hope you found this useful 😊

Thank you I received soy melts as a gift for the first time. Wasn’t sure how to use it. Now I do thank you 🙏🏾
You are so welcome, I hope you like them 😊
Beautifully simple, and to think before I thought candle wax was the same as a wax melt
Don't worry the first time I was gifted wax melts, I had no idea how to use them 😆
Thanks, just bought an oil burner and wondered how to use. I thought it worked that way, but it's reassuring to see it in a video ^^
Thats awesome! I am glad to have been able to help and hope that you enjoy your oil burner 😊
how long do they last for?
The flower candle is cute
They look great but don't burn for very long 😕
Should white smoke be coming out of the wax or is that unsafe?
I found one of these while looking around my grandpa's hoard pile and I thought they were used to cook mini food
We were curious about the oil burner too so decided to try cooking an egg on it...... it failed 😂
When it's done melting? How do you remove it?
Hi thanks for commenting, we have just shown you how to do this in our new video ❤️
Mine brings out flames, is this ok ?

I would like to ask, could I use more than one tealight candle for the burner?

@@CarvedCulture Okay sure👌🏻. Noted👍🏻. Thank you so much for your guidance ❤! I appreciate it 🙏🏻😊.
What do you do with it once it's melted? Just keep remelting it?
Once the wax has melted and the scent has dissipated, you can allow it to cool and then discard it or if it is made from soy wax you can reuse the old wax to make more wax melts if you want to 😊
@@CarvedCulture great, thanks so much!
Can I burn leftover candle wax in an oil burner?
Yes that would be fine as long as it is a scented soy wax and you do not leave it unattended :)
can do with just essential oil n maybe carrier liquid ?
You can use essential oil and dilute it with water 😊
Does the candle burn itself out safely - so you can just leave it?
Hi! It's best not to leave a burning candle unattended, even if it seems safe. Some candles can self-extinguish, but there's still a risk of fire. Always keep an eye on it and make sure it’s completely out before leaving the room.
How do you clean or remove the wax thereafter?
I Just Take a small knife and Pick it Out. If youre Burner is smooth and the wax Solid, it should Just Pop out
We have just made a new video showing how to clean the oil burner after use :)
Thanks so much for commenting, we have included your comment in our new video showing how to clean the oil burner 😊
@@CarvedCulture that's super! Will check it soon. Thanks for letting me know 😌
so once the wax has melted fully you blow out the candle?
It is best to blow out the candle once the scent has gone, unless you want to replace the wax melt with another :)
what do you do with the melted liquid? i keep burning but it doesn't evaporate
The wax does not evaporate but the scent does. When you can no longer smell the scent you should put the candle out, let the oil burner cool and replace the wax 😊
Will these burn the wax cubes from Walmart?
Yes the oil burner should be able to burn the wax cubes ☺️
Hello. Can you use normal "8 hour burn" tealights in an oil burner if you're burning wax melts?
Yes of course that would be fine, however I wouldn’t recommend burning the wax melts for the full 8 hours, instead burn them until the essential scent disappears 😊
The wax isn't evaporating, it's just melting and staying like that, like the volume of the wax isn't decreasing. Please help me out!!

Is is safe to use wax melts on oil burners ? I accidentally bought an oil burner and I needed one for my wax melts
Wax melts are intended for use with an oil burner however there is some safety precautions that you should follow such as not leaving the oil burner unattended, ensuring that the oil burner is sitting on a heatproof coaster etc.
Would be okay if I also use essential oils?
Yes you can use wax melts or essential oils but should mix it with water.
@@CarvedCulture alright, thanks for confirming!
Gracias 🙏
Your welcome 🙏
Is it okay to place on a wood table?

The staff who sell these in supermarkets don't even know how it works!!
