Ich find's super, dass der Mathias diese Führung mit Dialekt macht! Ich unterrichte Deutsch an einer amerikansichen Uni und will meinen Studenten immer zeigen, wie vielfältig die Sprache ist. Außerdem ist das ganze ein toller Überblick über die Stadt Salzburg!
In diesem Fall würde man "das Ganze" groß schreiben, weil es sich um ein substantiviertes Adjektiv handelt.

Ich habe dort gewohnt. Die Stadt ist nichts besonderes im Gegensatz zu anderen Städten. Sie ist noch dazu EXTREM klein und die ganzen Sehenswürdigkeiten beschränken sich auf wenige Straßen. Warum die Stadt so populär ist, kann ich mir nicht erklären. Vermutlich wegen gutem Marketing.
Richtig! Ich habe auch einige Jahre in Salzburg gelebt. Die "Stadtler" (Salzburg Stadt) sind zum Großteil sehr oberflächlich und verschlossen gepaart mit einer gewissen Präpotenz.
Da ist Graz, Klagenfurt und sogar Innsbruck weitaus angenehmer.

Ich war früher immer der Meinung, der österreichische Dialekt, insbesondere das Wienerische, hört sich arrogant an, hochnäsig. "Geh schleich di, i bin wos bessres ols wie du" oder so ähnlich. Mittlerweile empfinde ich das nicht mehr so. Wahrscheinlich lief damals zu viel Falco im Radio, aber der hat ja auch nur eine Rolle gespielt.

Ich vermisse diese wunderschöne Stadt so! Ich bin Sommer 1981 dreimal dahin gereist und fühlte mich wie zu Hause da. Jetzt weiß ich nicht, ob ich Salzburg je wiedersehen werde. Wegen Klimawandel sollte ich vielleicht nicht mehr fliegen. Also herzlichsten Dank dafür, dass ich meine Lieblingsstadt noch einmal durch euer Video erfahren konnte
Komisch, wenn man in Salzburg wohnt. Da merkt man wie klein die Stadt ist (zumindest der touristische Teil). Alle gezeigten Orte sind vielleicht 5 Minuten mit dem Rad voneinander entfernt ;) .

Easily my favorite city in Europe. Very beautiful. Lucky for me, I lived near the Chiemsee and getting to Salzburg was just a hop, skip, and a jump.

As good as this series is, you should do a better job of convincing your presenters to speak just a little more slowly. As someone who is part way through his A1 training I find these videos useful, but sometimes presenters speak so quickly I have to pause the video frequently and read the subtitles. Which defeats the purpose.
That's common to anyone learning any new language anywhere. They process speech slowly in their head.
You are right. This one was particularly fast. On the other hand it's our aim to show the natural speech and pace. There is nothing more frustrating than going to language class for 1-2 years, always listening to perfectly pronounced sentences, and then going to the actual country only to find out that you don't understand much in the streets. :-/ We have experienced that ourselves. That's why authenticity is an important aspect for us when creating content. We do have content at different levels though. As this one is quite advanced, make sure to check out some of the easier content in standard German as it should be easier to follow! :)

@@EasyGerman Many months ago I decided to relearn or better understand the daily speech spoken by the everyday spoken German Language. So I started with the Bavarians and started listening to a few news broadcasts and TV programs. It took me about 10 days to two weeks for me to finally get my thinking to process this dialect of the German Language fluently. It was in northern Bavaria that I first learned German as a child and went to German schools.
Then the family moved to Baden - Württemberg, so I had to learn several new dialects of Badenese and Schwäbisch, because all of the towns and villages spoke a different dialect. Next came Hesse another linguistic treat to learn... lastly there was the border towns between Germany and Holland. I never did quite get those dialects well understood.
Yet the Austrian and Swiss dialects also became familiar to me by listening to the radio broadcasts or TV shows form those areas. From time to time traveling there.
It takes a few years to learn a new language and what is taught in the classroom is always the correct for the language and what is spoken on the street by the people is their version of the informal language. Most languages are that way. English or Spanish are no exceptions.
You Tue is filled with all kinds of variations of German, English, Spanish and many others. For me to better understand the English language for instance, I am learning about the history of this language by learning how Old and Middle English came to be and the "Great Vowel Shift" of the transition from MIddle English to Modern English. I always wanted to understand how so many English words are spelled the way they are and sound or are spoken so differently. Now I know.

hallo easy german Team! Ich lerne seit vielen Jahren Deutsch, habe auch an einer deutschen Uni Gremanistk studuert, finde aber Eure Fime suoer hilfreich und lerne auch viel dazu - weiter so und viele Gruesse aus Poznan!
Man muss such vragen, woher kommen die thumbs down???????
Es kommen zwar sehr viele Touristen in die Stadt, aber so viele dann doch nicht. 2018 waren es laut der Landesstatistik im Land Salzburg 29 Mio. Nächtigungen von ca. 7,9 Millionen Besuchern. In der Stadt waren es ca. 1,8 Millionen Gäste bei 3,1 Millionen Übernachtungen.
Ja stimmt, Nächtigungen gleicht nicht Anzahl der Besucher und ich werde mir das nochmal ansehen wie das Verhältnis zwischen Stadt und Land Salzburg ist! Danke für den Hinweis. :)

I’m glad that I visited Salzburg back in 2015. Rented a Segway and explored around the town with my Swedish guide. And hired a car and drove around Salzburg region, Großglockner and Berchtesgaden. Austrians are so lucky to live in such a beautiful country! I hope to visit Austria again and try to explore lesser known regions. Servus aus Süd Indien 🙏🏾

Beautiful? Yes. But only for a couple of days, theres not much to do, for young people at least. Have been studying here for 4 years now, most people here are old and conservative, every sunday theres still a handful of lunatics marching around denying covid. We got kicked out of our flat because they had to "renovate" the flat is still vacant, half the city is empty so that the Festspiele guests have places to stay in the summer. The city is built to be used by tourists, not lived in by actual human beings. Thomas Bernhard wrote about this beautifully, he hated the town, funnily enough my Uni is named after him.

I cannot recommend Salzburg enough. It is one of the most stunning cities I've ever been. If you go I also recommend you to go to one of the lakes in the surrounding area. Absolutely unreal beauty.
