True Story, and sad too, but I knew Kelly Gissendaner. I taught her kids way back when I was much younger. Her husband Doug was a sweet man. The last day before she was arrested she brought in her kids to the daycare where I worked at and her son started screaming at naptime, I want my daddy. I felt like something was off because she brought him in a dress and had painted his nails. She would later confess that she was going to take the kids on the run but later decided to have their grandmother come pick them up. We were told at the time not to say anything to the press. It made us very uncomfortable. I am also sad because Kelly comes from a small town in North Georgia, so many people were baffled that she did this. Still to this day, many people are on the fence about the murders.

I'm all for people finding salvation while in prison. But just like with other choices we make, you still have to suffer the consequences of your actions. Salvation doesn't always free us from our sinful consequences.
