It's another rabbit hole to go down, and so much fun. I love collecting vintage metal and rubber not just for my vintage pieces but for modern re editions that companies like seiko, timex etc keep releasing, junk the modern strap and 'up vintage' it. There's lots of weird n wonderful Japanese vintage metal bracelets out there. Only thing to bear in mind is a lot of them are quite short in length so as I have a 19.5 cm wrist I've got to be careful. Great stuff James you've made a lovely looking watch look superb.

I will have a look for the same reason, I’ve been exploring Rado and Bulova vintage this year, luv the brands, looks and ease of repair.
The more I look at the vintage Rados the more I want. Hahahahahaha. They have some amazing watches.

Well done, that was a great way to obtain the bracelet. Videos like these do make me wonder why I don't seem to like bracelets. I do follow the advice to buy watches with bracelets, but they always seem to end up in the box while the watch is worn on nylon, sailcloth, leather, rubber in other words anything but the steel bracelet 😁
I have been enjoying leather straps more and more recently.
I think I specifically wanted the bracelet for this one due to its size. Being 35mm the bracelet gives it a bit more wrist presence

Beautiful watch! The other one I love is the Rado Original Diver. Unfortunately it is discontinued.
Love Rado I have a modern Capt ain Cook, vintage Silver Horse and a Purple Horse. Vintage ETA movements easy to get parts and built like tanks. Only complaint is difficult to find them without some type of lacquer/Varnish damage which has not been repainted.
I’ve been lucky to find one in such good condition. And now with the bracelet it is even better.

That one came with my original watch. It was nice. But I really wanted the feel and look of the bracelet.
I moved the strap over to the new purchase.
I’ve bid on Rado watches before, it’s a shame that I never won the bidding war
I know what that’s like. A lot of watches have slipped my grasp that way.

I ended up selling the spare to help recoup the overall cost. Worked out well in the end.
