+Darryl Morrell "F is the force that the tower is applying upward to the point where the cables are connected " . my question is why the tower is applying the force upward??
if the tower was not exerting an equal and opposite force to counteract the downwards force of the cables, the tower would accelerate into the ground. Or fall down.
Suppose you added a third rope, so you'd have 3 tensions and one force (4 unknowns). How can 3 equations solve for 4 unknowns then ?! you could have infinitely many unknowns in this problem and you can't have other than 3 equations.. we're living in a three denominational world! How can we in the hell solve such a problem ?!!!
This was very helpful, I hope you'd solve more examples.
What is the program you are working?
Help Me, I'm confused!
Why the force in y-direction become J instead of 48J?
Thank you.
Divided by square root of 48²
Is it possible to find Nash,3-D equilibria, in "umbilical points"?

thank you!! thank you so much, helped alot..
Omg thank you sooooo much

Robert Kemper In reality, you may not.. imagine this is a real life problem, how can one tell what the tensions are !!
Truth Seeker That would be a statically indeterminate question.
Pierce Fitzgerald
how's that ? it's just a problem that can face anyone in real life.. there must be a solution!
excellent
pls register me as u r phd student
thank u

Try again. I know for a fact that you must take and English class before you get a M.Sc.
Clearly you have not.
