A montage of past events is shown: Mikey and Draken saving Takemichi from Kiyomasa, Takemichi stopping Mikey from killing Kazutora, and Takemichi standing proudly during the Kanto Incident.
In the present, a beaten Takemichi struggles against Mikey, who mocks him and questions his resolve. Takemichi reminds Mikey of his promises to Baji and Draken to care for Toman and Mikey. Overcoming his fear, Takemichi charges at Mikey but is quickly knocked down. He recalls his last conversation with Hina, where he admitted his fear of facing Mikey, and resolves to fight for his friends and their future.
Despite being knocked down repeatedly, Takemichi continuously charges at Mikey. He starts experiencing visions of Mikey's attacks, allowing him to dodge and counter them. This surprises both of them. Takemichi eventually lands a clean punch on Mikey, knocking him down for the first time, which stuns everyone.
As Toman cheers, Mikey gets back up, furious, and attacks Takemichi, who continues to evade his strikes. Takemichi explains that he returned to the past to save Mikey from his suffering. Mikey, angered, mentions his brother Shinichiro and reveals that his dark impulses stem from love, sharing that Shinichiro was a time leaper who tried to save him. This revelation shocks Takemichi as the fight continues.
