- In the Carpatian mountains (In the upper North of Romania) runs one of the most interesting narrow gauge railways in the world.
Twice a day a fully loaded log train follows the banks of the Vaser river.
Twice a year a Swiss railway organization organizes a special week for railway fans in which all available steam loco's come in action.
This is part one of a 25 minutes documentary of the winter 2011 trip.
A joy to watch. *****
Waiting for part 2 to come. Thks for sharing.
right at the beginning of the video in that river there used to be a big rock. Used to take baths there every summer when I was a child.
Very interesting and well presented.
do they still regularly transport logs behind steam or was this just a photo-charter?
the music, unfortunately, is most incongruent to the video itself; (smooth jazz is for smooth jazz people); I expected to hear something closer to this culture in terms of music styles, though ultimately, no music is preferred to the pleasant, plangent sound of these actions. A video I'll watch many times, however.
talk about hard yaka i bet those blokes are nakerd after a days work doing that .!
