About the PS1 emulators, PCSX Rearmed is excellent for low-end devices, but on more powerful devices, Bettle PSX is a better option, with more accurate emulation.
I learned an important thing from you, Patton. That you can change the internal renderer settings inside emulators. This makes a HUGE difference in ps1 games especially. What a world of difference. PS2/Dreamcast/Gamecube/WII also really benefit from these settings.

I love your videos man! If I can recommend KMFDs videos on multi disk swapping to help those trying to play those pesky PC-98 and Sharp X68k games that have multiple discs.
I like the video. Makes all of this sound much simpler than most people think. I personally recommend using KMFDMANIC's experimental cores, as those are tweaked and optimized for the PSC and the NES/SNES Minis. His last few releases have brought on huge improvements over the 'standard' cores. Just saying. 😉
Guys...I need some help. I dont have the best USB...but it has been working so far since I got autobleem to work. I have 10 games on it. I then went and added street fighter collection 2. It would boot and work. However, whenever I beat the game, save, unlock the art gallery, turn off and then come back. That game will not boot. Other games work. When I plug the usb into my laptop, the computer scans and repairs the usb. The folder for the street fighter collection 2 is all corrupted and is rell pressure to remove. What is causing this? Granted the stick only has 15gb...when the borders reopen I can get a better stick from amazon. Is it that the memory is all used up and its not saving to the stick properly? Is the room bad? Or the cue and bin files? Can anyone help? I have since deleted that game from the stick.
it' great and all, but there's a problem, everytime I launch a game (PS1 in this case) the emulator starts with ow quality, almost blurry image, the fix for this is going to the settings while the game is running and tweak any setting, just touching any settings without even changing them, will cause RetroArch to go to full quality when i leave the quick menu to the running game. It's boring to do this everytime, especially when you can forget about it and take low quality screenshots!!! Yep, it happened to me, lost quite a few pics.
Amiga is always a nightmare to emulate. I wish there was an emulator for frontends as compatible as Amiga Forever which you have to pay for but it works on almost everything.

You forgot to add that for Famicom Disk System, NEStopia emulates the add-on most accurately, down to the music. Myself, I like to use fcceum for NES/Famicom games, thanks to the option to use the Famiclone style sound. How I wish there was a BGB core. That one has Super Game Boy border support, and it's more accurate.
Is this for android right? Cuz Drastic isn't on windows :( and I can't load ds roms with desmume. I already placed the bios/firmware files into system. Don't know what's wrong. :'(
Hey Patton. Where do you get the "disksys.rom" file for TurboGrafix16 CD. I have the other 2 anyway but can't find this file anywhere. Just want to put CD images onto PS3 and play them from there. Thank you for making this video. Have you tried using the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller? When I use it R and ZR / L and ZL do the same thing even if I assign different buttons. Also, the Right Stick does nothing. Its like the emulator does not detects it.

Patton! Whenever I create my system directory folder for bios in retroarch (via the nvidia shield and external hard drive) it messes up my MAME 2003 games from booting up. Any solution to this?

Can I use G-SYNC with retroarch? I have a g-sync laptop coming and specifically wanted G-Sync cause a lot of arcade games, particularly older ones, do not run at 60hz. On top of that, it's a high refresh monitor anyway (144), so g-sync may be beneficial for 60hz arcade games in any case. I know G-SYNC *CAN* be used with mame but I just wondered if was easy with retroarch as the front end. Cheers! Thanks for the video..

You won't believe the price i found the last one in the country for.. The new gen barely improve thermals or performance, and also it's the only 15" laptop in existence with 6 USB ports (2 usb c, 4 usb a). I still can't believe the bargain. These used to sell for 2500 USD or more. I got it for 1100. You can't get anything close to those specs with G Sync for that money any other way. I just hope the courier delivers it safely as that is the only thing rattling my nerves now. Oh, it also has a UHS-2 card reader, barely any laptop has that! 250 mb/s via sd card, most laptops are 80 to 100 mb/s. Even the new aorus and gigabyte aero stuff has dropped g sync. Also a 2 year global warranty. I think I got the gaming laptop bargain of the century. It even gets a 512GB NVME and 1TB 7200RMP for my roms (most have 5400 rpm with the storage drive). Gigabyte really went above and beyond with this one at the time.
I use a galaxy s10 plus with a ipega red knight controller it plays everything I've thrown at it flawless even play gamecube and Wii games except Mario kart Wii has a black box on screen

HELP I need someone to send me the original kernel from the store so I can try to restore the machine.
So in order to play a simple game like Super Mario Bros, I need to download Launchbox, but Launchbox needs Retroarch, and then Retroarch needs cores, and then that needs rom files ... Are you people out of your mind ? :/ What happen to simplicity ?
@@PattonPlays Initially I found away to do it using "Launchbox" (I am not sure if is known or not, looks just like Steam) then that app asked for Retroarch paths, then retroarch asked for emulators/cores, then I need nes files, it seems more complicated than it should be. But I found that LaunchBox is not a must.

I couldn't make gba work on my snes mini with mgb. The games show up int the menu but nothing happens.
I've had Saturn and Jaguar emulation running in RA for a while now. Not sure why you think they're "impossible".

I wonder how Mortal Kombat Gold runs on the dreamcast emu. It's exclusive for that system, great game imo
Pardon, but it seems the chapters are not aligned properly with the content. (At least, between the N64 and GB[A|C] section.)
Why do they include so many cores if not all of them work? Why not make core-packs specifically for SNES Classic, PS Classic, etc.?
Some of the cores are specifically for mobile devices. PCSX ReARMed, for example, needs to be running on an ARM CPU.

You can use certain SNES cores bsnes to play them in super game boy mode

When using Dreamcast use the standalone Redream, it’s literally the greatest emulator for ANY console

I have bilinear filtering enabled. In the retroarch menu go to settings-video. At the very bottom you should see the option.

In your retroarch folder there should be a system folder, that's where they go.
