    Taal seems to produce sequences of eruptions in a relatively short timespan before becoming dormant for a period of several decades (typically 50 years). Examples include: 1873-1878, 1903-1911, 1965-1977, and 2020-present. Also, I would prefer for my predictions to be wrong, and for Taal to just suddenly reduce in activity without a major explosive eruption.
    Update: as of me writing this comment, four other volcanic explosions have since occurred.

It's surrounded also by different mountains. I told him maybe we're inside the big caldera? You can hardly see it because it's all greens now and surrounded by mountains and hills. There were people also built houses by Mt. Taal itself and with the last explosion they were destroyed. They all have a hardtime getting their horses they use for tourist to see. There's also a vlogger swimming inside Mt. Taal and he took a video of it right before the explosion. I forgot his name but everyone looked back at his video.

      @razorransom1795 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ah, best anology, and some eruptions are magma mixing caused like adding mentos to soda but reverse their consistancies, with basalt and rholite and diacite magmas. Signs of such are pumice rocks and pumice pebbles, water causes more ashy eruptions.

    • @stevemchadd
      @stevemchadd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@razorransom1795 Thanks for the elaboration, this is a subject I have recently become interested in due to the increase in volcanic activity over the past few years.
      As you seem to know your stuff about these things, is the creation of pumice and ash due to the water turning to high pressure stem and expansion?

    • @razorransom1795
      @razorransom1795 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stevemchadd yes with the ash, the water causing mini hydro thermal explosions with really hot magma contact, turning any stone created or in the blast radius into really fine ash. Now with the pummice, eh, maybe if some salt water is coming up with the basalt. In the Pummice creation case, its the mixing and remelting of cooled gas rich rhyolite or andresite magma with really hot runny fresh from in the outer core or inner mantle basalt magma, and when that just shot out magma cools quickly, ya can see the rock being porous due to the trapped gas bubbles in it. Been keeping an eye here and there on this geo activity for a while with also listening and watching any documentaries on eruptions historical and more modern and their affects. This was mostly due to some catholic visionary prophecies sounding erriely similar to geo events, some passed down others stumpled upon as researching the others, and seeing yellowstone's lid showing event March 17 2010, which created that lake rift and knowing about its uplift in 2004 due to an article came across in library class looking up news topics for a research paper. For a good explanation on sea water vs magma mixing for volcanic eruptions, i got the info from a documentary on krakitoa 1883 eruption. And it fascinated me on how all the different ways they can erupt and their timing on if there are any pre markers/signs/signals or not, and their affects on civilization, history and the geo gases involved. Ah, yes, this is the one to be precise on krakitoa 1883 eruption, goes into very good detail on it and what caused it. @@stevemchadd well, water in general, can cause such from flash steam creation, but it is even worse with salt water cause when it mixes down below, it can melt more rock at a lower pressure than what it usually needs to melt, making that molten rock hotter, thus making more rock melt quickly.

      Because Taal lake used to be connected to the sea so the people there built port towns to trade with the Chinese, Indians and Arabs. When the destructive 1754 eruption happened, some of the lakeside towns were abandoned. Sala disappeared without a trace, Tanauan moved further inland, Lipa moved the city to the nearby plateau at the foot of Mt. Malepunyo. The former location of Lipa is now known as the town of Mataas Na Kahoy.
