      Some of them have gone, but they haven't been forgotten! The rest of them are with me and one of them is with Lift Tracker.

    Oh I’ve been in these lifts, they are amazing even though it has a logic and button mod, the original indicator is so epic

    Great to see these lifts again. Recorded these way back in 2009, but they were already modded. I managed to see into the motor room from the hatch on the top floor. th-cam.com/video/jpBpLjjmzWQ/w-d-xo.html Really bad quality though. That jump at 0:41 was interesting - some of the Express lifts from the 80s used to do something like that (rapidly change to the next floor, then pulse at normal speed after that). One place you could look into is at 4:00 in my video link - probably demolished by now, but this old derelict lift block.

      I am in Windsor very often Matt. Please PM me the location and I'll take a look :)

      Cool! It seems they’ve hardly changed since then. I wonder when these were modded, I’d guess around 2004. Did you just randomly find the motor room hatch open? Suppose it would’ve been a bit daring to go in there though.
      Apparently the logic has been replaced with a Kone one, so that’s why I assumed the indicator jumped, on Ecodiscs it normally does something like that. What cases the wobbly doors in your video, is it the belt losing traction on the motor?
      That derelict lift looked interesting. I’d assume it’s gone now for sure. Looked like an Otis to me judging by the button, but I’m not too sure.
      And thanks for taking a look at my videos, Matt. I appreciate it! :-)

    • @MichalM
      @MichalM 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Lift.Tracker I know this comment is addressed to mrmattandmrchay, but I think these would have had the same fixtures as those express lifts in Liverpool. I can see where the original express panel has been blanked over, and it's in the same kind of area as the ones in Liverpool.

  • @MichalM
    @MichalM 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Wow, you've been to these lifts! Good job finding them lol, yes they are express lifts that have only had a button and logic mod. Everything else is original, including that very unusual indicator! I live close to these, if you'd like some more footage of them working then feel free to let me know! :)

    • @Lift.Tracker
      @Lift.Tracker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey. Yeah, the indicator is quite unusual. Do you know if it still has bulbs inside it? The numbers don’t seem to fade as they should if they are bulbs, they could be LEDs. I am actually surprised that they are still using the original indicator instead of adding a dot matrix one. Any theories to which type of buttons these originally had? Yeah, some more videos of these would be nice to see if you ever get the chance! :-)

    • @MichalM
      @MichalM 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Lift.Tracker It is very unusual to find this kind of indicator still in use. A lot of them tend to be broken these days, it's interesting to see that most of them seem to work now. Many of the lanterns don't work, I'd suspect they are still using bulbs. One thing to bear in mind is that Windsor is a posh area, where express indicators fit quite well. Not sure about the buttons, I believe they would originally have been mounted on one of the panels on either side of the doors. No clue what buttons originally, I've only seen them in their current state, with a few less bulbs (most likely to be bulbs) working.
      Sadly it seems you filmed the less interesting set, the other set have no lift chooser and the Kone voice. They aren't original, but a lot more lanterns and bells worked, not to mention that they're nowhere near as busy as the main lifts.

    • @Lift.Tracker
      @Lift.Tracker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MichalM Oh, really? There’s 2 sets of these? That’s kind of annoying Lol! I did have a hard time trying to film these because of how busy they were. Are the other ones pretty much identical then? If I ever go back I’ll take a look at them, I don’t live too far away from there either.
      About the indicators, strangely there is no red arrow which there should be for the down direction, they’re both white. When were these lifts installed?

    • @MichalM
      @MichalM 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Lift.Tracker Yes there is another set as you enter the car park by car, the other set is to your left as you drive in. Yes the set you filmed are INCREDIBLY busy, I'm surprised you didn't give up in the end lol! The other set have no lift chooser, some bulbs working and working bells, along with the full Kone voice. Ah good to hear you don't live too far away! I go to Windsor pretty much daily so can happily film these for you if I can get there in time.
      I think the other lifts had red and white arrows, can't quite remember now. I'll publish the video I have of the other set quite soon on my channel. I have no idea when these were installed, probably when the car park was built.

      @@Lift.Tracker How bad is the modernisation?

    • @Lift.Tracker
      @Lift.Tracker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gabrielcoyle3067 The Express indicators have been replaced with Kone. The Express doors have been replaced with Kone. The Dewhurst buttons have been replaced with Kone. And the Kone logic has been replaced with a newer version. Here is a video of them now: th-cam.com/video/Qs4ArZV07Vk/w-d-xo.html
      The buttons have since been replaced. This is a weird modernisation where the lifts are sort of working while only half finished. Some indicators are Express and some are Kone. It’s a complete mixture of parts.
