La Polcura TURF-Reserve inauguration

In a work initiated in 2019 together with Fundación Capital Azul, the Fishers Union of La Polcura organized an activity that was marked by the participation of students from the Basic School of Pichicuy, neighbors and authorities, with the aim of encouraging the whole community to get involved with the care and conservation of this protected area located in La Ballena.
With a surface of 15 hectares, the La Polcura TURF-Reserve is a voluntary protection zone located within the TURF (Territorial use Rights in Fisheries) managed by the Fishers Union of La Polcura.
