Ever since I started paying attention to him, Austin has quickly become one of my favorite drummers in metal, super impressive player and really cool guy
Check out Alex Pelletier of Despised Icon. Probably most underrated drummer of this style. Drums in the song The Ills of Modern Man to this day stand as some of the sickest deathcore drum writing I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
@@Shizl_Gzngahr thats pretty sad kiddo. Hope you don't cry over this comment when I tell you hes mediocre at best. I was playing shit harder than this when I was 14, 16 years ago
As an aspiring drummer... I want WAY more of this! Some of my favorite & most inspiring drummers are Joey Jordison, Dave Lombardo, Jay Weinberg among others but man this kid... I dare -F'ing- say & kinda pains me to say... kinda blows them out of the water! The blast beats are so super human that I first thought it had to be a production trick, until you talk to ppl who have gotten the privilege to see them live. No WONDER he herniated a disk!!! These guys deserve EVERY F'ING BIT of the success they're finally experiencing & I expect them to be the 1st "deathcore" musicians to be inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame! Or at least... they better be if any deathcore musicians ever are!!!
Parker Gallagher not a fan, never really been a fan of paiste. Some of their crash’s sound good and i don’t mind Austin’s ride but i think his cymbals sounded better when he was with Meinl. Obviously in my opinion
@@user-id2dx4qd6j yeah I totally get that. Imo it's an acquired taste. Some of their cymbals like the 2002s are literally my favorite ever, while other models I freaking hate
Parker Gallagher the 2002s are nice but Meinl i think will always be my favorite. With cymbals like Matt Garstkas Equilibrium China, trashy but a full sound, 14 inch jazz hats, the dry hats, 10 inch dual splash, their dry crash’s also, and all their stacks are phenomenal
@@user-id2dx4qd6j hell yeah. I love gartskas shit. I have a 22 in meinl prototype extra dry vintage ride. Its amazing to record with. I'd love to explore meinl more. I'm rocking zildjian and paiste atm but am exploring options.
Probably because the ones you hear most often are Rudes or Alphas lol. Paiste makes a lot of great stuff, but if most of your exposure is through heavy music it's almost always those two series and they really aren't great for much other than being loud (which has its place). I have a 20" Alpha crash and while it's not my favorite cymbal ever, it's the only cymbal I've ever had that didn't crack within a year or two of rigorous practice/shows (except my hi-hats), and I've been using it for about 4 years.
Check out the 2002 line. I’m a huge meinl fan and I’m IN LOVE with that line. Most of the ones you hear are rudes or alphas, as someone already mentioned.
@@johnnyleeedwards8492yeah the Paiste china on his left id amazing it’s the rude 18” china type. And I like the novo too, it’s just very unique sounding. The rides also amazing
Austin needs more spotlight, he’s a fucking beast and I feel he’s way underrated

Right! Me too. When I see some dumbfuck in a comment section shit talking Austin. I defend the hell out of him like he's my fucking dad or something 🤣

@@scottyweimuller6152 Exaggeration is a thing.
Austin Archey is one of the best to ever do it. Def one of extreme metal's elite.
Dude is a god damn god level drummer.
Insane yo, this is one of the best live jams I've seen in ages
He could literally do this in his sleep. So good. 🔥

I hope 66samus reacts to this video
Unreal
insane
How far we've come.
I was at this show!
How
Yeah yeah
@@matin2825 he bought a ticket and he went there
Is this death portrait it’s hard to tell
Yes
His style reminds me of Nils Dominator. 🤘
Love the china.

Parker Gallagher definitely explore Meinl. Im working on trying to get an endorsement from Meinl at the moment
definite Dominator style going on here
Death Portrait
fucking epic!
i need to find out witch demon Austin made a deal with. or just practice for another 20 years lol. savage!
Not just blazing speed, he hits for power. Beating the shit out those drums and trying to break the cymbals.
I love how he also has a robot arm tattoo on his whole right arm
Song is death portrait
Song name ?
D portrait 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Paiste cymbals always sound so dead to me.
Way too bright and no sustain at all.

The heck kind a quality is that?
What happened to the sound???
M currently arguing with people about this dudes drumming being “edited” and he can’t play that live LMFAO
Not my kind of music but fucking hell this guy can play!
O.O
Mm ok
Wish I hard the kick drums more but fucks sake this is good otherwise lol
Paiste cymbals sound so dead
I think he just isn't using the line that sounds as bright as far as the crashes. But them china's, splashes and hi hats sound good to me atleast
Paiste rudes? Nah man they are made to be dark like zildjian has k customs that are dark
@@johnnyleeedwards8492yeah the Paiste china on his left id amazing it’s the rude 18” china type. And I like the novo too, it’s just very unique sounding. The rides also amazing
Unreleased? That's just death portrait.
It was unreleased at the time of the video
I don't know why, but the drums sound nothing like the actual recording...... bummer
Bruh
Haha
Camera mics will do that, one of the worst places to hear a concert is on the stage since the focus of all the sound is the audience
Rude cymbals have to be the worst cymbals i ever heard
