This mod is super cool and it’s awesome to see people want to play this version of the game again but idk, going back to a version where most of the cast doesn’t have the stuff that makes them viable now is kinda insane. Not being able to really play your favorite characters doesn’t feel good even if the gameplay is overall better.
@@largeladygaming Sadly they cant, they didnt even put labcoat cuz is "too broken" for this version of the game, for example if Cooler would get the buffs he got in Season 4 and 5 he would be the most broken character in the game, sadly this mod is done for people who only like to play 10 to 20 characters of the 43 available to play.
I haven't followed this game ALL that much but I find it interesting how hard majin 21 fell off. Is she still good in the current meta? I feel like I hardly see her anymore, at least in these videos I watch.
No, she isn't. No sliding knockdown without meter/assists really hurts when everyone else in the game can, and her damage is lackluster compared to everyone else. (Plus no level 3 mix anymore) Id say she's bottom 10
You can immediately notice how much more methodical the gameplay is. Sure super dash and auto-combo are still strong, but their used much more situationally. People used to whinge and moan about how overpowered Broly, 21, and Vegeta were, but you can clearly see they weren't broken, just very strong and a huge challenge to fight if the player themselves has good fundamentals. Instead of improving as individual players, we kept begging the devs to buff the low-tiers, now we have to deal with Nappa, Krillin, Gogeta Blue, Trunks, Jiren, etc... AND fusions are still the best shell in the game anyways💀 Even as a piccolo main, I still miss this version of the game...
You are absolutely right. I mean just look at this gameplay - no beerus full screen 2m that is full invul to all projectiles. The game now is brain dead with people mashing full screen normals and invul moves. Also Nappa saibaman playing the game for you now, saibaman stays on screen even after the opponent does lv3 reversal. Truly Potato brain stuff.
As a piccolo baby trunks team for like 3 + years now I could never go back to playing this version, trunks and piccolo had 0 mid screen combos their damage was so low sometimes idk neutral is cleaner but the characters are more boring with less options
@@Jbswe No one was doing Base Vegetas mid screen combos back then but they could still cook with the character (like Hook for example). Vegeta ALSO had low damage unless it was in the corner, similar to Piccolo and Trunks (even though Piccolos mid screen damage is great..?) And yes, less options requires more thought and precision. To consistently win you’d have to IMPROVE your movement and decision making so you eventually get the chance to utilise your characters strengths. This version challenges you to build a solid team with a solid game plan and execute it WELL. Juiced up characters gets old because it never feels like you’re improving, just being carried using teams. If you enjoy your characters playing themselves that’s different I guess.
Doesn’t make sense to me why pro players are returning to play seasons they literally cried and complained about non stop on Twitter but it’s cool to see them play again I guess lol. Can’t have a party game without clowns 🤡

Most of the cast is viable, they just aren't homogenized and broken. Every version has top tiers, it doesn't mean you can't win with your favorites
