Impossible Pikmin Deaths

I ended the day with 96 pikmin on the field. 15 yellows and 81 reds (2 in the ground). I ended the day, and on the stats screen it said I only had 10 yellows and 76 reds. 10 pikmin lost in battle today but with 2 total? 2 MDs during the day, then 3 reds and 5 yellows somehow after the day ended? 0 left behind. Just to check, I landed in FN and those were the actual numbers in the onions.

Never seen this before. The obvious answer is that this game was never bug tested.
Glad to see you're still speedrunning this game. You're pretty dang good at the cutscene skips, dude.
