Most of the time when she is supposedly sleeping in official media she's actually probably doing a "sleeping with one eye open" as you can see her halo still being active. But I rather think it's more logical for the devs to think of a potential transfer student into Abydos, and maybe this is a future reference for the school to be moving forward into a new and brighter future. Beside this game is far from over. We only got the 2nd ark of this game. There are more to come and more students for us to help too.
