Just found your channel today. I actually met the band. The lead guitarists sister went to Penn State University and we accidentally shared an apartment together while she was a student teacher. The band came to a nearby club and she offered to take us to meet them. At the time we had no idea that she was related to the guitarist. It wasn't until we went backstage and he gave his sister (our roommate) a hug and kiss that she told us. LOL A really fun night and really good people.

If you want to react to new generation hard rock/metal, I suggest you check out The Warning, an all female trio from Mexico who just released their first major label single "Choke" (with already 600K views), a great, powerful song. Thier Fan Club "The Warning Army" is very dedicated and they will check out your channel for sure. If you want to start at the beginning, you can also react to their cover of "Enter Sandman" from 2016 first, which was promoted by Kirk Hamett himself. Even thought The Warning were still children back then, their live performance will blow you away, promised. 22 million viewers can't be wrong.
Oliver what a great recommendation, yes according to many fans and industry professionals, they are the one of the best hard rock bands to come onto the scene in the last 20 years, PURE ROCK, energy galore. So many fans of Meta/Rock have been disappointed with so many so called rock genres, and how rock has been put on back burner in a lot of award and entertainment shows. The Warning is bringing new life into the genre with their music, they are instrumentalist who are also great singer songwriters, a true power trio. I think Rebeka will enjoy these trailblazers for women in rock, from Monterrey Mexico, who are going to explode into the Rock World this year. Oh by the way they have been a band for 9 years now and have put in the hard work into achieving their dreams. As Oliver mentioned they got their big break when at the ages of 9,12,14 when in 2014 they posted their Enter Sandman cover for their grandparents to see how they progressing. 1EP, 2 independent Albums all fan funded with 32 original songs, they are the real thing! Choke is the first song of their yet to be release 3rd. Album under their new label Lava/Republic records, last July 2020 they became the 1st. band from Mexico and the 1st. rock band from Latin America to ever sing with a major U.S. label Directly! I watched this whole live Live concert with a motel room full of friends getting drunk and stoned the night before the funeral for my wife and daughter.... taken out by a pick-up on a highway one day..... really did help make the best out of a bad time..... we all kept saying "I didn't know these guys did this song".... almost every song..... and all the lyrics had people saying, "well, that seems like more than a coincidence huh".

Think about it. how big had this song had to have been for so many people to know the words to it? It's also the volume of content that is now being produced and made available. It's difficult to keep up with all of the stuff being produced daily, let alone explore the huge back catalogue that exists. Great that the internet now makes all this so accessible.

This band became much more well known and mainstream like around the time this song was popular, with their 3rd and 4th album (I think their 1st album was a self made thing that nobody's really ever heard), but, and I'm not just trying to sound cool like I knew them before everyone else, their 2nd album "Mental Jewelery" before they were super famous is one of my all time personal favorites. I remember I bought it along with Pearl Jam's "Ten" which ended up being such a huge album, and blah blah blah, but I got way more into Mental Jewelery at the time. It's an album that was very precious to 14 year old me. And they weren't much older than me at the time. I discovered them on Mtv passed midnight when they would show bands that nobody new, and they were just geeky looking teenagers that would be off stage playing their Gameboys, and then go on stage and kill it.

I’ve seen them many times. Their album Trowing Copper is one of the best albums of the 90’s. Every song is incredible.
