rewatching this, huge props to kier for staying professional on the parts he thought would be in the video. Even after falling in the piglin pit and losing all his stuff, he was professional about it, and only started genuinely complaining outside of the usual banter once dev was about to reach the end.

I'm a citizen of Devtown, and I think It's fine. We hold human sacrificial ceremonies every weekend which are super fun. I always enjoy the sound of human pain and suffering and the fresh smell of newly-let blood in the morning. The only thing I find wrong with it is that I'm next up for the chopping block, and now Kiertown is starting to sound pretty nice with those walking whales...

For those who thought it was a twist:
Twists are considered when the game has been loaded with a plugin or a mod pack that offers things that vanilla Minecraft doesn’t offer.
The advancements and achievements are with vanilla so it theoretically isn’t a twist, just an annoying notification.
By this logic, he could go into creative mode or use /give and that wouldn’t be a twist since it’s vanilla, he even did a twist where he could you use command blocks and those can be obtained in vanilla Minecraft. Saying there’s no twist is clickbait
