Louis, can you show us a reverse sear ? Oven first at 250 until an internal of 115 and then sear in the cast iron ? Just a thought. If anyone can pull it off you can ! When I come to thePNW I want Gt’s shrimp and LT’s tri tip for a welcome meal ! Looks perfect !
Awesome cook Louis! Tri tip is a great cut and works in all sorts of ways, definitely in cast iron. Perfect juicy medium rare! Have a great weekend brother!
I have a couple questions for you. Just what is tri tip? Is it the flat off a brisket? The second question is your garlic herb butter. You make your own or is it store bought? I have to say that was the nicest piece of meat I’ve seen in a long time. That au ju over the top of your slices would make me happier than a hog in a mud wallow.

Thank you for watching. Tri tip is found on the lower hind quarters. I bought this garlic herb butter this time - but I have made my own in the past
you're cutting with the grain, why?
Did u melt the spatula?😘
why put the hot steak on a cold plate?
got enough butter on there buddy?
Just leave in the cast iron and cover. Cut on a board and save a knife.
