Actually, I guess HIIT can be too, but High-Intensity Training as it pertains to Mentzer can be effective for those thinking about training once a week.
Graa I dropped a 30kg one on my index finger.. it started to swell up but I continued the workout and it just went numb. but 40kg on pinky tho that's painful to imagine
moroccan lover my mate is natty for 5years and he lost everything after 4-6months of not training at all. But he bounced back after starting again but he did a big cycle and looks better than when he was training for 5y straight
Awesome video, I experienced this first hand when I got injured. Shoulders got horribly small but Rehabbing them day by day and they are steadily getting back haha And I never let my Abs, Legs or cardio go to waste during that time so that was a bonus lol
JaxBlade got a question for both of you I can workout for consecutive days ex 7 days exercise 8th day i take a day off I get sore (off course i get normal feeling that i have trained the other day) same goes if I train 4 days and the 5th i take a rest day i get sore basically I only get (heavy)sore on the days I am not working out what's the science behind this?
Love this vid. I had surgery on my legs and needed to rest for 2.5 -3 weeks before going back to the gym. In the meanwhile I tried to stay as active as my wound allowed (keep walking, keep training my upper body etc). On the 3rd week, trained my squat for the first time, I admitted there’s some strength loss, weight felt super heavy and loss of couple reps. But then on the 2nd squat day, my strength totally came back to normal. This experience taught me it’s 100% no big deal to take a long break from training and when strength loss happens, just stay calm cos it comes back very quick anyway!
Damn so your strenght came back in one week? I had my nose and nostil surgery idk how its called in english but to fix my breathing basically and i need to take 2 week rest from gym no cardio or anything so i am kinda scared for strenght loss haha
This explains so much, like after around 3 weeks of sedentary behaviour over Xmas, when I returned to the gym in January I could lift the same amount of weight as I did pre-Xmas. So I didn't lose strength which was relieving. Another great vid from this channel ;)
Muscle memory saved me. I suffered a major wrist injury about a year ago and about 3 months ago I finally became stronger than I was before the injury. I'm still a little mad that I lost like 7 months of gains tho.
Thanks for the good vibes bro , I've been working out for over 2 years now while keeping a healthy and strict diet (Not Sure about the strict part tho lol ). i gained a lot of good muscular weight, Went from 150 lbs to 181 lbs in a matter of a year, now that i had to travel back to Montreal and set myself back to university , i really haven't hit the gym in 15 days and i was really afraid that all the muscle mass that i worked for will fall off But this video helped me a lot out of the anxiety of loosing what i worked hard for in the past year , so thank you !
Can you talk more about "crossover adaptation" mentioned in the video? I always wonder how a person that lose an arm can still have symmetrical chest development.
PictureFit quality content, that's well researched. you respond quickly and effectively to your viewer's questions with detailed responses. easily one of the top fitness youtubers around. in no particular order (as I visit all 3 for different reasons. )my top 3 would have to be. 1.picturefit =most comprehensive break downs of the science. 2.athleanx=still comprehensive, but focused more on visual learning. 3.jaxblade=WHAT?!?! I CAN'T BE A NERD JUST BECAUSE I LIKE TO TAKE CARE OF MY BODY? !?!?
I haven't worked out in about 2 months, the only thing I've noticeably lost is my stamina, as I used to do a lot of cardio, but my overall strength has increased a little bit. I've only been using heavy grippers. The 200lbs one every day.
Your video concisely gave info others do not. You include sources which is both ethical and educational. Finally someone doing it right after all this time.
4 dayz you ain't lifted shit. You ain't done shit and most importantly you haven't gained shit yet, so don't worry about losing anything. Worry about that 3 to 4 months of REAL workouts and good nutrution.
I had a delicate injury and couldn't train at all for about 6 months, i visually saw myself as shit and gave up all hope. Your video gave me some kick to start all over again man, thank you very much, this really helped me!
This channel answered all the fitness questions I've been asking people in the gym... to no avail. Graphics + research = crystallized information = pure awesomeness! Thank you! And please keep this up!
Getting adequate rest and staying healthy is a big part of making gains. I take a 1 week break from training and dieting every 8 weeks. It does wonders for motivation, recovery, injury prevention and breaking fat loss plateaus.
