I've always loved Alabama. My brothers and Sisters were raised pretty much like these guys. Our mother and grandmother taught us music and harmony when we were little, and we were liable to break out into a four-part acapella tune pretty much anywhere, lol. And to Brother Gaithers' point; every time but one, I was stopped by the law when I was listening to music. "Highway Song" was the culprit on one or more. My older Brother, R.V. (May He rest in peace) was stopped going through a small East Alabama town on his way to classes at Jacksonville State one morning for speeding and running a stop sign (while singing, of course). In his court appearance, the Judge, a musician and singer, instead of talking about the case asked him to help him find the right note in a particular song the Judge sang. I think it was a 'sixth' note rather than a more common harmony note. The two practiced the song a few times until the Judge was satisfied he 'had' it. My brother's reputation for harmony had preceded him it seemed, lol. The Judge, ever the fair-minded civic leader, did make R.V. pay the ticket by requiring R.V.s group to sing at the town's🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟 annual festival, if memory serves me right.
Awesome group. I have seen them in concert three times and they always were top of their game. They are true Country. Nashville would do well to take notes from Alabama
I went to a few June Jams and really miss going to them and I believe Alabama loved their fans and fans loved them. I've got no complaints about them even stayed in Fort Payne a night or two sleeping in my car with a friend Roll on Alabama
Jeff’s wife worked with my mom when she was pregnant with me when mom n dad lived in Fort Payne. Someone set our house on fire, mom n dad had to move into a camper and run over to Gadsden to give birth to me. Mom n dad used to follow those guys to Myrtle Beach all the time to hear em all play. My first concert was Alabama.
i was stopped one night cause i was listening Alabama and also Trace Adkins latest cd March 3 2017 The song Lit the sheriff pull me over cause he said the car looked like it was hopping I was in Hutchinson ks airport rd ( i didnt get a ticket had a extra CD of "Something going on" I handed it to him he wanted to listen to the song Lit) Alabama been a fan since 1980s will always be a fan❤
Teddy, Randy and Jeff did not do right by Mark Herndon. He played an intricate role in their success and putting him on as a "salaried employee" was wrong.
It was an accounting error. My daddy (Teddy) found out off the news. When they went back out they asked him but he was not only playing with Leah Seawright, but also married and flies private jets. They are all ok with each other, and I haven't seen more people out for blood. Yes, Mark was an artist in the band. But it has been over a decade and people still spread lies not ever thinking about the families. Please before you bash my family, how would you feel? Love each other, take care of one another. I love you and God loves you
If they haven't already done so. The two remaining members of the group should make peace with their former drummer. You can't get back the lost time, but they should find a way to make peace with Mark. I only learned in recent years how dirty they did him.

My favourite music from them is Song of the South.
It explains the great depression through an exciting music.
Bynum, Al is home sweet home! oh yeah
Bobby Wofford, who drove the equipment truck for Alabama for years and years, passed away 3-26-2024. RIP, Bobby and hugs to Detha and Bo.
I love these three
That harmony...

Where is the fourth member of Alabama ( the drummer)?
Why does the interviewer look like Tim Allen as Jiminy Glick😂
Teddy looks just like my middle brother.
He looks like my cousin...
He looks like my dad

Why doesn't anyone ever ask them about how they screwed their drummer?
These guys are straight they only do females lol Roll Tide
Because they didn’t. Most don’t know the true story.

I agree, Mark was with then thru thick and thin and to stick a knife in his back was wrong!!!!
