hi peg i really enjoy your channel I'm subscribing as we speak ,your story are just like my childhood , I'm 4 years older than you, i love both channels, keep bringing them videos , a friend from Macon GEORGIA 😊❤
Clothes lines & laundry mats was how I grew up. My Mom would say in later years (yes she still used the clothes line) that more people should dry their clothes that way. It would save a lot of electricity!
When I was a kid, we had clothes lines and occasionally went to the laundry mat at well. Had to go several times as adults too when the machines in the house broke down or when renting places without machines. A group of us from work was sent to Clayton for training for work back in 2011 for 2 weeks. It’s very nice and we had a great time! Historical St. Charles was also nice!
Pegi..your videos are truly wonderful and here for them..just keep them coming. You post..they will come. Please do not worry about being boring..there is always something new to learn and you are a great story teller. Enjoying the videos..the both of you take care. 😊
My earliest memory is when we were at the church baptism at the creek and my dad was holding me on his shoulders I was about 3 or 4 and again I remember my mother being sick and she would have good and bad days one day she was feeling real bad and I said daddy let's pray and we got on our knees around her bed and prayed I was 5yrs old and remember that so clearly!
We have similar rocking chairs also. Our children got us them for fathers and mothers day. I really enjoy your stories about the memories of growing up 😊
Girl, let me tell you....I'll watch anything you post. 😅 You can just sit there and look at the camera, I'll watch it, cause you keep me laughing. 😅🤣😅🤣
Hey Fam! I just saw someone with a rocking chair like that tonight. You're doing really good with your uploads,Pegi. I'm used to summer storms( FL), but these storms have been hitting different this year.
Pegi, me and my mom was just talking about the washing machine with the ringer. She loved it. I was too young to use it but I remember it. Our house had a weird layout. The kitchen was in the back of the house along with the full bathroom. The washing machine was in there too. I remember, I had to be about 3 years old. Memory lane ❤.
Peggy I have memories of my mom using the wringer washer. She didn’t trust us to do the wash. She did it herself. Washed on Monday and ironed on Tuesdays. I hated ironing the sheets and even my brothers undershorts! I do remember hanging clothes on the line. Hated it! Now this was the Sixties. My birthday is coming up on the 17th. I’ll be 77 and still hitting the gym😊
Pegi when my dad was stationed in the Philippines we had one of those wringer type washers after having had regular ones stateside, and we thought it was fun😊
Oh yeah them good old days and my granny had the white washer if I remember correctly. I ran thru the sheets also but I nerves ever go a butt whipping for anything and my older siblings couldn’t understand 😂😂😂 but we would take close pin and put on our lips to see if it hurt or on all finger and act like we had long nails hmmm now people get paid for this 😂😂 Pegi I want them chairs, link please ma’am
Speaking of stupid things we did as kids. I remember as a kid watching Tom and Jerry or even Bugs Bunny and nem when they would step on a shovel or something and it would hit them in their faces. I did not believe that could happen. Let me tell you… I learned that day… it’s real. I had a real knot to match their cartoon knot on the head.
Memories, I hated the smell clothes dried on the line, stiff jeans. 👖 😂😂😂😂 spit bath, my Mama I remember my Mama doing that as we were walking in the church.
Yes Pegi I'm enjoying the videos please keep them coming! and you brought back so many memories talking about your dad because my aunt & uncle was the Consolers gospel singers and it was always rehearsal in the house.
Oh my goodness! My parents had 9 children. I’m number 8. I was born in 66 and my youngest sister born in 69. I have the same memory of her. Actually, I remember my parents picking her up from the hospital because she was premature and had to stay in the hospital until she gained weight. We parked right in front of the hospital in our green station wagon. My mom when in and brought her out. From Orlando, Fl. Thanks for sharing 😊
