I'm an American immigrant in Germany. We are not too far behind unfortunately. At least our (German) fascists don't pretend they are not fascists until it's opportune for them.
Just spent a week in Berlin and fielded plenty of questions from concerned, alarmed Germans. I had no answers other than "it's a cult." They said it looks just like what Germany was going through in the 1930s, leading up to Hitler.
