Thank you SO much for your comment, Stephanie. We are both proper fan boys and we come to see you whenever we can. We're over the moon 🌙 that you've taken the time to message us! Best love, Colin & Tim ❤️ xxx
😂 thanks guys! As one of the organisers I can confirm the budget was extremely tight. (Wont get in to the politics) and was pulled together within a matter of weeks and worked with what we could. We’ve recruited a new team! And we will be back bigger & better next year! 😊❤
Thank you for your comment but we don't agree at all. We attended a lot of Pride events last year and Barnsley was our favourite small Pride. Although we had some criticism of this year's Barnsley Pride there were some outstanding elements that we thoroughly enjoyed 🌈💖😂
I think aspects of Pride lets itself down. Saw kiddies at this event yet they are exposed to fetish type exhibits at the stalls. There really is a time and place for everything. 😢
We see your point, Rob. We didn't see any fetish gear at Barnsley Pride, the gloves that we showed were more punk than fetish, but we've been at other Pride events where there has been stuff on show that you wouldn't want children to ask about 👍🌈❤️
Pride has had kids at it since the event started, any issues with anything sold that should be for over 18s has always been dealt with by having it as a covered stall but people can access it if they prove they are over 18, that is how we always used to run it.
I was born in Cudworth in the 50s when I was lucky enough to meet my life soul mate at the age of 21 when living in Huddersfield, it was love at first sight and we are still together we were married in Barnsley and live in Barnsley, I'm now 66 years old and have had a great happy life. So anyone who thinks they may be gay or thinking of embracing who you are, do it as you only get one life, and it's yours to be happy. Embrace it with both hands ! ✋️ Opps 😂 Be happy and come visit Barnsley, it a lovely place with the Glass Works complex and the town centre Market is once again one of the best markets of the country. Love ❤ that we have a pride event and people prepared to give time and effort to make it happen, Thank Q, although I didn't know about it until later 😮. Remember that you are unique, you don't have to be like anyone else, just be your true self and have a ball. Gay or not, have a happy life. ❤❤
Very wise words, Flashant! We didn't get together until later in life but it was worth the wait although we'd have preferred to have been together since our 20s 🥰 Thank you for your lovely comment 🙏❤️🌈
Tim and Colin i love your channel! As a gayman and been in a relationship for 19 yrs i just love how you both bounce off one another and are honest in your reviews of places , Originaly im a northerener born ad bred from a market town called Ashton under lyne just over the pennines in what was part of Lancashire but now its part of greater Manchester , its on the borders ( cause im old school so still class myself as a lancashire lad ) of lancashire, cheshire, yorkshire and a short drive into derbyshire so within that area you have glossop, oldham etc all with a very short 30 min drive or a train or tram journey! .....I have lived in Bristol for 19 yrs (but still go home to vist my family) ...If you ever get down the south west to Bristol i recomend you do Bristol pride ! it started off small as they all do BUT its got bigger and bigger and i can say rivals Manchester now they all ways have top notch acts on and headliners in the past they have had the fizz (formerly bucks fizz), nicki french , Kellis, and other BIG names plus they also have a pride after party at the O2 in bristol wich is allwasy amazing with various acts on through the night! ...Keep up the great work guys !
Hi Dizzy! Thank you for your comment and congratulations 👏 on 19 years. Thanks for recommending Bristol Pride. Is it a ticketed event or is it free for everyone? We believe that Pride celebrating should be affordable for everyone ❤️🌈👛 xx
Cheers Ryan! We 👍💯 agree! We love Barnsley. One of the organisers of Barnsley Pride has been in touch and we'll be chatting about Barnsley Pride on the next Tuesday Chat xx 😎🎈
Ah Colin, its lovely to see you have a daughter. I've two children, they mean the world to me. Now I have Remo, my soulmate. It's good to talk and share experiences 👍🙏 all the best to you both..
How lovely to see your daughter 🌈 So glad you made the most of Barnsley Pride Lancaster Pride was a damp squib this year too The weather hasn’t helped either I do think there’s just not enough money to fund them as cost of living is so high Great video as always Colin & Tim Hope your heads were Ok in the morning 😂🌈🌈
Thank you, LVP! We think sometimes the organisers try to do too much with too little money. Colin was a bit ropey the morning after Pride, as you'll see on Thursday's hotel 🏨 review 🤣 xxx
Not every event or food review going to be a ten , however you made the best of the pride , and thank you both for showing the diversity of the market , and lady with hugs xx
Thanks Nigel! It felt like they had just copied what they did last year - even the bits that didn't work - and left it the headline acts. Even the host was wearing the same dress 👗 as last year! 😲 xx
They certainly are! The only problem we found with some of the amateur acts at Barnsley Pride was that they were given 30 or 40 minute slots to fill whereas they maybe only had 10 minutes of content 😕😎🌈
Hi Colin and Tim Great vlog as always, never been to a pride event but this one did seem a little limp, that's a shame. As for Stephani Hide, i get the impression you two are a bit smitten with her, will have to watch out when she preforms near me. There looks likes some good bars in Barnsley, but like you Colin i hate smelly toilets. Chris. 🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈
Pride wasn't as good this year, I've heard plenty of peoples versions of why they thought it was, after it has been planned for the last 10 months but things changed in the few weeks before. due to politics but hopefully its going to be an expanded event next year with a more community feel with some of the other venues getting involved to create a bigger and better experience.
Hi Andrew! One of the organisers told us they only had a few weeks to organise Barnsley Pride this year (as you say, due to politics). In which case they did a phenomenal job. With a whole year to plan the next one, Barnsley Pride 2025 is going to be fantastic! 🌈
@@thechatterguys sorry but it's not true, my partner has been the pride secretary for years until recently, planning meetings started back in October last year and there are minutes and meeting records to prove it. There is a lot that has gone on in the background that's not been shared again due to politics and would not be right to air dirty linen in public. But even their own social media shows they were advertising for acts months ago. To see what's being said to what actually went on are two different things. I've organised pride here for over a decade until recently and so I'm just wanting to give the other side to what has been said. It's about the community and I'm glad people had a good time.
Fantastic to see your daughter Colin. It looked like there were plenty of stalls but shame about the entertainment and how dare any bars refuse the Chatter Guys.

Thank you, Karen. We do our best! 💗❤️💘
Inebriated Colin's reviews are the best: ruthlessly candid. And I like how Tim takes delight in eliciting Colin's drunk opinion. 😂
Thank you, but we should really know how to behave at our age! 😅 xx
@@thechatterguys but "behaving" is boring

Sorry Cherry! Maybe it was the sound system because plenty of people seemed to be enjoying your performance ❤️ Best wishes Colin & Tim 💘
I think Pride events are a good thing for anyone who is thinking of becoming a gay and seeing what it's all about.
Thank you for your comment, James. What Pride events have you visited? 🌈
I’ve never been to Barnsley and wouldn’t have thought that there was a Pride event. Great video though. I’m hoping to attend Brighton Pride.
Thanks Sean! Please let us know if you go to Brighton Pride. We've never been 🌈💜🎈
Yes I will let you know. I’ll try to vlog it if I can.
Barnsley is a brilliant town and im so glad we have a pride event. It is a safe inclusive place to live

Cheers Paul. We had not planned on going to Wakefield Pride this year but we're certainly considering it now! 🌈👍🎈
Oh ì was there on Saturday with family and didn't see you but it took us ages to find it lol
Sorry we missed you, Peter! What did you think of Barnsley Pride? 🌈
Skegness are having a pride day on Saturday 7th September 🤩
We know, it's the same date as Benidorm Pride so we won't be able to attend ☹️ . Hopefully we can be there next year 🌈💖🌞
A fair review . I like the indoor stalls . Thanks for sharing chatter guys 💯❤️🎶😘
Thanks Peaky! It was only the main stage that really let Barnsley Pride down. Unfortunately, that's the main part of any Pride event 😕 xx
