I have been playing ER:LC for about 2 years now, I can say that they have ruined the PvP system quite horribly. Firstly, the police guns are overpowered, the taser used to be "balanced", they fixed it by balancing it more, to then make it at least 4x better.

Even though the title says joke video this is honest lmao, I just got bored and played er:lc for 5 minutes and ended up getting arrested the second I fired my weapon due to the new "balance" update. (it was fine before then PRC decided to overpower the police team by like 5 times)
The old taser (the beam) was overpowered, but at least it wasn't brokenly overpowered. They balanced it, (debuffed it a little too bad for some people), then decided to bring the old one back with even more power. They've increased the range, added a feature for re-tasing, and most importantly, they've removed the cooldown of it. Such a balanced feature!
The range wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the fact a cop can just go up to you and tase you the moment they equip their beloved beam.
They've made the taser a sniper at this point, standalone the range is insane, and if you include the fact that having high ping makes it even longer does not help it at all. Get tased and it's over, you can't do anything.
Unless you have multiple people with you, or a cop on your team to kill you when you get tased.
Let's make a little scenario; You are fighting a cop tryhard with an M249, you have high ping, rendering the M249 almost useless. The cop jumps on top of your car, ejects you out, instantly equipping their taser and beaming you down. You are arrested.
Let's make another scenario, you are shooting at this cop, and they tase you from miles away, your cop friend tries to kill you but for some reason cops have the ability to instantly place and stack invincible fences, making it utmost impossible to shoot you. The result of this is you getting arrested.
At this point, the cop team requires such little skill and aim to be played anyone can do it. It isn't even "challenging" to arrest a suspect with this new taser. And as we all know, our "friendly" "mafia" members love to hop on the police team, and abuse all the glitches known to mankind to arrest.
Simply, the game isn't fun anymore.
