I hope Softr, Stacker, Zapier and Airtable pay you for bringing them customers and teaching them the software and use cases. You are the companies sales pipeline.
Hi Gareth, again a great video just a few hours after the update. When Softr release an update I automatically wait for your video ;-) However Softr is easy to use, your videos show me all the times the extra details from the updates. So thanks again!
Happy to hear that these are helpful to you! I love working with Softr, they are building such a necessary tool and their updates are happening at an excellent pace!
Great video and very informative as always Gareth :) Is it possible to create bookmark or save projects (posts) functionality for users (for clients in your example) on Softr? Like the clients can save the projects for them only in one category called bookmark or saved projects for instance. In online shop it's similar to a wishlist of products If so, what's the Airtable table be like? Thanks in advance!
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, this can be done. I suspect you'd want one table for your products and another table for orders. Each order would then have a status - either "wishlist' or 'purchased' - it would only upgrade to the latter after payment.
I am really impressed with both Softr and Stacker. I'm trying to determine which tool is better for which application. It seems like Stacker is better for internal tools while Softr seems to excel at creating beautiful, public-facing sites. Is this correct? Is there are Stacker vs Softr comparison video in the works? :-)
Hi Brian! Yes, this comparison video is in the works, but we are waiting on some updates from both Softr and Stacker before we publish! In the meantime, I agree with your assessments given the current capabilities of the two software options. Stacker has the edit/update data feature so it's great for internal portals, or even for external portals. On the other hand, Softr is great for those looking to create a website - it's like WIX for Airtable users.
@@GarethPronovost Exactly. By the way, the new Stacker interface is very cool. There are also rumors that Airtable may release their own frontend UI soon. Interesting...
Hi, Gareth. I love your videos and I really appreciate the amazing content that you put out. Question about Softr - Does it allow you to make updates to an existing WordPress website, or only create/update a new one through the software?
Hey Michael, thanks for watching! At present, you can only create new records with Softr, but very soon you should be able to also edit existing data! 🤞
My opinion as a non expert is that Softr is more about presenting the data to the end client while stacker is a medium that allows the end client to enter, update and work with the data.

Can you help with the new Linked List feature? The guidance on the Softr website are super hard to follow.
Will try to get to that soon!

you can embed blocks (like lists with data from Airtable) from softr pages on other pages - you have to try to see if it works for you

Can we a get a dropdown in form in softr.io
We do have it Amber just drop in a new form block and there we have single and multiselect drop downs
@@ArturMkrtchyanGplus thanks. Yes it is there...
Can we have options for drop down fetched from data available in airtable.
@@ambardeo that’s in our plans, it’s just airtable api is not easily allowing without copying all your data
It's much like Stacker two years ago. Any chance of a competitive analysis of both?

@@tommycoe2333 I'm sure that the current scope is simply driven by where it's at it now. I expect their ambition is to provide a more capable platform
