Man charged after army officer stabbed near barracks in Kent

A man has been remanded in custody after an army officer was stabbed close to a barracks in Kent.
Anthony Esan, 24, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Police say Lieutenant Colonel Mark Teeton is in a serious but stable condition after being airlifted to hospital.
