This song is beautiful. It completely tells her story without any words... The way the music builds, the contrast of the piano vs the guitar, how it gets loud and almost daunting and scary at the end, but the beautiful sound of the piano is still there, the core of the whole song. It's just a beautiful piece of music ❤️
hey where's the chocolate Where it grabs the pit of ur stomach & feels u right back, as if it's a long list identical twin of urs or something... :p I sure feel that way at least. :D
If you enjoy this type of music...then listen to Brian Eno's ambient projects like: Another Green World & Music for Airports. Then there's Tangerine Dream from Germany: Phaedra or Rubycon. All are monumental works that paved the way for this genre of music.
@Winduct You might not believe me: but when i first saw The Social Network, i did not recognize it was Trent behind the music in the movie! It was a few days after that, when talking with friends about it, that i was told. When i was in the theatre seeing The Girl immediately recognized his touch in the music, and believe me: i had been told nothing, nor i had read anything about this version of the movie. It was a great pleasure to see this movie knowing it was Trent in business.
I'll probably be right with you on this one, though I haven't seen the Swedish films yet...and really, I just want to get my hands on the books right now after seeing the David Fincher version of this.
@Winduct I must disagree with you on this; at least the music accompanying the movie is WAY darker and dramatic than what we heard on the Social Network. You can not compare the ambient created by the Social Netowrk´s plot with the Girl with the Dragon´s...at all, thus Trent created music accordingly...

@xaxsimplexescapex - Such is the power of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' work.
It's perfect.
We are going to die...
@cloudnine04 - Aronofsky is one of the best working today. He, Nolan, Fincher and Paul Thomas Anderson are the top four best in this generation.
@AngusYoungForMayor Yeah it plays in the end when they are talking in bed.
@Winduct its not at all the same thing. you simply hear noise, instead listen for the music.

@cloudnine04 - See "Boogie Nights" and "There Will Be Blood". "Magnolia" is great too!
@JesusCristo2002 That would make my life! Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors (right there with Fincher).
@vonkaunaz After seeing the film, I agree. It fits perfectly and creates a perfect atmosphere. In actually prefer this over The Social Network.
Nice
@JesusCristo2002 I've seen There Will Be Blood- excellent movie. I'll have to see Boogie Nights and Magnolia!
@JesusCristo2002 Couldn't agree more with the first three. I haven't seen much of Anderson's work.
Reminds me of Black Swan.
@cloudnine04 Trent and Atticus should record a score for Darren Aronofsky!!!
reminds me of minecraft.

@Winduct Shhhhhh...
This is The Social Network all over again. They keep getting the same awards for the same things.
Kind of reminds me of Minecraft.
you're right, those are pretty similar piano sounds to the ones on the Minecraft soundtrack
