It's thin but try the vac sealed t-bone 1$ steak. I haven't tried any of the other choices but I had that at a cook out. I can't lie, I'd purchase myself now that I've tasted.

They had kame asian noodle ready to heat and eat for $1.25 the same lomein noodles at walmart are $3.29. Plus there were tons of name brand items. I even found pouches of taco meat. Already cooked and sauced in those MRE type pouches. They have cheese and salsa and tortillas (both corn and flour) for $5 you got taco dinner. Only thing they dont have is lettuce but eat extra salsa lol

At the .99 cents only store they had great produce. I would get lady finger deep purple grapes which were great grapes and I couldn’t find them elsewhere. I would buy a week’s groceries for 35.00 so 5.00/day. They had English muffins for .99( larger maxi packs too). That alone could make breakfast, pizza for lunch with tomato sauce and cheese which they have too! Ramen for dinner. They had plenty of healthy foods too, besides junk food. Actually just bought Banquet meals tv dinner and pot pies, but sadly it was their liquidation sale!
Why not get anything that requires cooking? In many markets they compete with the grocery stores for anything that is shelf stable. You can eat a somewhat healthy diet from there provided you're okay with a lot of your fruit and vegetables coming from a can. Lots of different ways to make pasta or rice bowls (guess what I ate a lot of in college)
All the stuff my family gets from dollar tree is eggs roll, sandwiches and snapps but the best is Jimmy Deam pancake with sausage sad part is there usually sold out
If you can get your hands on some real butter, my go to struggle meal was/is a bag of rice, some canned or packaged chicken, and some cans of mixed veggies. Grab some applesauce too so you dodge the hospital bill for scurvy.

ALSO, Dollar Tree sometimes gets overstocked items from larger retailers. There are times my daughter goes in and finds makeup that would cost $11 at Walmart for $1.25 at Dollar Tree. It's real brands like Revlon and L.A. Colors. Seriously, don't sleep on Dollar Tree. Go in one. It might really surprise you.
