CAT 950M \ Volvo L120H Lift Upgrade

NOTE: This update is now availiable for CAT 950M and Volvo L120H, the parts for both loaders are almost the same, so you should be able to update your Volvo L120H by watching this video.
I got tired of the poor quality actuators, so I designed a better lifting mechanism for my 3d printed CAT 950M model.
Stronger, faster, more stable and even cheaper than the actuators from before.

Hello Lasse, thank you for the great update of the Cat 950. Defective actuators are now a thing of the past. I will install it in the 2 loader, which will soon be printed for my 8-year-old son. Have fun developing and crafting. bye see you soon👋👋

thats great you do this kind of thing. building models is alot of work, and it takes a long time to work out kinks etc............ and your right the price is cheap. i like the look of actuators myself, but any time you can use one motor its great for equal lift like you said. Its very very hard to get two motors to lift even at the same time. but saying that i think sometimes the difference is very minimal. thats cool. nice fix!!

Wow, thats some nice upgrade ! Ticking all the boxes and its also cheaper ! Looks like Ill go for the upgrade even though I never had issues with the actuators so far. Thank you so much for taking the time to tweak and upgrade your models. I've been using your upgrade for the Compactor and its so much better now. Nice upgrade, does the Volvo and Komatsu have the same problem or are they more actuator-friendly the way they are constructed?

the Volvo L120 will get the same upgrade. the komatsu lift actuators seems to be more than powerful enough, the steering on the komatsu might get an upgrade in the future though.

If the bucket lifting actuators are failing are the tilt and steer not the same thing?

no, the tilt and steer doesnt work as hard as the lifting actuators

Hi Lasse. So in this upgrade we only need 2 actuators, right? Which actuator remains in the project?

yes, with this upgrade you still need a steering actuator and a bucket-tilt actuator :)
Note: on the CAT loader you can install two bucket-tilt actuators :)
