Fun fact: While there's technically no cap on attack speed, you can still cap on how many times you can effectively fire per second because of the duration of the attack animation. So you technically can have too much attack speed because it'll eventually stop benefiting you.
Senseless comment because there is no cap….. In roguelikes, they never have a cap because it limits the ability to build a personal build offered through the obtainment experience of items/relics. The whole point of the roguelike genre to begin with. Ie as a player doing a run: Why would I not have a choice but to get one of two attack speeds item here…. yet my attack speed is capped. You see how that wouldn’t make sense from the jump. I can see the direction you were headed though. I would highlight damage. He simply doesn’t have high damage, so it doesn’t appear as if his attacks are smashing at the rate they are. Also, dps in this game doesn’t change the character model after a certain point. But that’s a given with any game because one attack would have to generate 20 frames. If you’re talking 10 or higher attacks per second, you’d have 20 frames overlapping consistently. Otherwise, 200-300 frames per second for just the attack animation itself. The game wouldn’t run smooth at all. That’s why the attack animation in this game and most games for that matter isn’t based off the character model so much as when the attacks hit and register the actual amount of attacks registered. That’s why pro players play with damage/health bars because they’re able to better analyze how much damage is actually being done for calculations. Again, not to take away from your comment but there is no cap so you’re not correct in saying what you’re saying.
true. attack speed is additive so 0.15 extra attack speed for soldiers syringes. so with 100 you would shoot 15 times a second. with 1000, 150/s. at around 50 soldiers syringes it is no longer worth having more. I've stacked more than 150 and the animation breaks. there is no animation it just shoots infinitely fast. there is a limit to the attacks per frame
the scrap does work with the 3D printer, it actually takes away the randomness of which item gets taken cause the scrap takes priority the scrap just has to be the same rarity of item you’re trying to print
As an fyi, sprinting is separate from rolling, so you don't have to wait for/use roll cd to sprint. Default binding is control key. Oh, one more tip for finding the teleporter. They have a field of particles in the air around them, so look for those. They can help if the tele is tucked in a corner or behind something.
There’s actually a modifier in the game that lets you pick which items you get, so if you want you could always pick one item and stack it as many times as you want. It’s called the Artifact of Command, and it’s not too hard to unlock

You should get all the artifacts if you haven't already 1 of them let's you choose what item you get from chest as long as you've already picked up the item before meaning you can't get new items when using it but you could use it for all attack speed idk but they would be useful for some crazy funny videos
In the sirens call biome, (the one where the giant metal bubble thing was), you can find nests with eggs. If you destroy enough of those, you can summon an extra boss. After killing that, you get a guaranteed red item
Remember for Siren's Call (Cliffs everywhere and birds) go break the eggs. Spawns a special boss when you kill enough and it drops you a free red item if you survive! Also, in the fire/hell map there is a cave somewhere under a pillar in the center of the map. Big chest for big money which gives you a red item. Also, correct me if I am wrong people, but doesn't the scrapped items become general purpose trade that is prioritized for the 3D printer? Green for Green, white for white kind of deal? Also, love the work you do man. Keep up the good work.
Tip coming from a commando main. Attack speed IS your best friend mainly due to it increasing the ammount of bullets comming from Suppressing Fire (R key Ability) also just 2/3 syringes can keep up bleed from 1 tri tip dagger and never fall off.
DF I know you love some items so this is the way to get the most. Artifacts! Get the Artifact of Command, it lets you choose your items. Artifact of Sacrafice, which allows monster to drop items on death. Artifact of Swarms, makes it so there are twice as many enemies, but their health is way lower. More kills more items. You should already be rolling in items but if you want more get Artfact of Soul. When enemies die it spawns wisps, which can also drop items. SO MANY ITEMS
tip for df: on sirens call (one of the 3 maps for stage 4) you can shoot the eggs to summon a boss, after killing it, it will drop a legendary item towards the center of the map (keep in mind that you'll have to shoot a lot of eggs, and they can be found all over the map, doing this will also unlock a new character)
Hey DF the map at 7:33 has a secret boss there are little birdnests with eggs around the map, destroy enough a secret boss spawns upon its death a red item ALWAYS drops at the stone pillar
the scrap from each rank is used on printer for each rank, also, you can play to loop the game, wich makes it more fun, to loop, you need to interact with the parts of the portal in the last area before the last, so you align it with the planet and loop
hey DF, in sirens call, the one with the vultures, you can find eggs around the map. break enough of them for a secret boss and a red item, if you kill em
DF, 3d printers only work with items of the same rarity. Also when on the bird stage, ALWAYS shoot the little blue eggs in the nests all around the stage. And final tip is that the slow on hit item doesn't actually slow attack speed, only movement speed on enemies so it's not really easier to dodge or anything.
Hey DF! On that map you were on at the 4th stage. If you kill 6 eggs found around the level you summon a boss that will always drop a Red item when you kill it :)
Printers only convert same colour, Scrappers are to choose specific items to exchange at printers as scrap are used first at printers (permitted they are the right colour). When you get to Sky meadow, that under area with all the machinery and wires you can input codes to go to a challenge area that will unlock artifacts, all of which have a variety of effects that make the game either easier or harder, or a mix of both. these codes are hidden around in the game environment (usualy in hard to reach places that take alot of mobility and jumps), and one of them is in the log on the underside of an environmet model. Also the Sky Meadow portal has 2 modes, Aligned with the moon (Default, takes to final boss), or Alligned with the planet (interact with a spine rather than the middle, and it lets you do another loop of 5 areas)
Im just gonna leave some tips for future content When you reach stage 5 you can go down and find a machine that lets you put code and will give you Artifact of Comamnd if you put the right sequence, it lets you choose item instead of getting random item from chests, also on Stage 5 you can click on the teleporter prongs to re-arrange it so you can loop the stage instead of going to Mithrix. On Abyssal Depths and Sundered Grove there's a hidden Red Chest that give you guaranteed Legendary Item On Siren's Call you can destroy 5-6 Egg/Bird Nest to spawn a Hidden boss that gives you Legendary Item too
A good trick to finding teleporters faster is look around, but look for tiny lil red balls in the sky, the teleporter has an aura of them that can be seen from very far. (On the fifth level the balls with be blue instead of red)
btw every 4th stage there's a way to get a legendary item 100%, in the map you were on at 7:40 if you break small eggs that are found around the map it'll spawn a boss which gives a legendary item, on the red map there's a cave which has a legendary chest and on the mushroom map there's a legendary chest the can be found by looking for glowing pink dust that's around it
If you want to be able to make the most op build heres a trick, Void fields when you go there the time stops but enemies keep spawning. If you activate the artifact of command it lets you choose your items you get, and if you activate the artifact of sacrifice it removes all chests but monsters drop items now, So you can combine the two and become the most op you can imagine.
Do not let the Bustling fungus fool you! This game... is pretty harsh if you stop moving. Also, there's some mods that give you better item descriptions in game, 100% recommend to learn how each item stacks! Loving the series 🥴
if you wanna get really over powered, try the artifact of command and the artifact of sacrifice. killing enemies make items drop then being able to choose any item, making overpowered runs really consistent
Hey DF! Here’s some funne tips: If you’re on the map Sirens Call try to find and destroy the eggs on the map Try playing with Mul-T, you’ll like him very much. Chronobauble doesn’t slow the enemy’s attack speed, only movement speed
DF should unlock the Challenge Artifacts so he can get all the cool modifiers, like being able to choose what items you get, and monsters drop items on kill.
Df at 7:58 you walk over eggs. On that specific map if you destroy all eggs that spawn on the map it will spawn a boss. When you kill the boss, the game gives you a guaranteed red item.
Im sure you know this, but scrap does work with 3D printers, and it will automatically use the scrap IF its the same color. So White scrap gets used for white items, green for green, ect ect
Scrap works with the color of the printer only. white scrap for white items, green for green, so on so forth. That, and the exchanges in the bazaar and the moon will take scrap before they take regular items. Also same thign there, if it says "3 items" then you need 3 items of whichever color the text is.
This is an old vid, but DF, here's a tip, on the lowest difficulty, anything through hard is basically Easy, anything up the the difficulty bar mocking you is basically Normal, and Everything past is basically Hard. It's cool that they have you it scale more incrementally, but when you see INSANE difficulty, it's a little scary until you try out the other difficulties and understand how easy the whole thing was before.
Since the game gets harder over time and there’s only a certain number of chests on each stage, you should be getting 3 to 5 items and be starting the teleporter at 4 to 5 minutes in. This game gets INSANELY crazy later in and there will always be some other stupid printer later on P.S. you can “loop” the game by interacting with the outside of the stage 5 teleporter so that it “aligns with the planet” and keep going with a run! (Around the first loop is when you start to get completely out of control) Love your content and I’d love for you to really see the craziness of this game.
in case you didn't know, on the level where the teleporter boss was a magma worm, you can destroy the white eggs hidden around the level and it will spawn a boss, which will 100% drop a random legendary item.
i cant wait until DF finds out about the artifact of command.... the insanity and allure of choosing your own items is too great for him

13:00 the description on the upgrade he got is literally so close to a line from muck, mucks description was "And his hammer was electric"
The fact I have 3k hours in this and watching him struggle is adorable
You do not have 3000 hours. That’s like 4 hours everyday since the game came out.

seeing him scrap atgs made me so viscerally mad
DF's lack of movement is borderline triggering to me
Remember for Siren's Call (Cliffs everywhere and birds) go break the eggs.
I am the first want to watch your episode I love you episodes they’re really fun and my favourite series so far is Matt and I love your content !!!
Tip coming from a commando main. Attack speed IS your best friend mainly due to it increasing the ammount of bullets comming from Suppressing Fire (R key Ability) also just 2/3 syringes can keep up bleed from 1 tri tip dagger and never fall off.
That's a good refresher seeing someone who's fairly new at this game just being happy with what ever he can get
I was scared when I first found this game and played it because I knew DF would find it and break it down to the molecular level
God I cringed hard when he turned the green rocket launcher item into scrap thinking it could be used for the printer
love the fact that he immediately starts with the video, no intro at all
DF I know you love some items so this is the way to get the most.
Df: wants a red item
Also Df: ignores the easy guaranteed red item with the worship unit
DF: big smiling guy who can teleport
Me: hollow knight Soul master
Him : nothing can kill me!
Detenation timer : ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT.
tip for df: on sirens call (one of the 3 maps for stage 4) you can shoot the eggs to summon a boss, after killing it, it will drop a legendary item towards the center of the map (keep in mind that you'll have to shoot a lot of eggs, and they can be found all over the map, doing this will also unlock a new character)
ive played this game before but ive just now realised how perfect this game is for you type of content

You know its gonna be lit when the Mantis Lords Ost starts playing
"Let's kill the things we don't know." Did I end up on The Spiffing Brit's channel? That's the most imperialist thing I've heard DF say!
I'm convinced this man is a talking pillow
"A missile drone. 144$, so that means its gotta be worth it"
The entire ROR2 community:
Ha ha ha ha, *W R O N G.*
Hey DF the map at 7:33 has a secret boss there are little birdnests with eggs around the map, destroy enough a secret boss spawns upon its death a red item ALWAYS drops at the stone pillar
I got so triggered when he scrapped that ATG missile launcher
the scrap from each rank is used on printer for each rank, also, you can play to loop the game, wich makes it more fun, to loop, you need to interact with the parts of the portal in the last area before the last, so you align it with the planet and loop
hey DF, in sirens call, the one with the vultures, you can find eggs around the map. break enough of them for a secret boss and a red item, if you kill em
Or just get enough Gasoline that you hit the entire map when it activates, lmao.
Can't believe DF was the one to get me into ROR2 a year ago and he's still this "new" to the game
"Aweee, look at him trying to climb a small ramp" This sent me, hahaha
Hey DF! On that map you were on at the 4th stage. If you kill 6 eggs found around the level you summon a boss that will always drop a Red item when you kill it :)
me: Nooo you must keep that ATG Missile Mk.1! It's getting massive effect with the attack speeeeed!!!
DF: haha scrapper go skrrrrrr
Im just gonna leave some tips for future content
When you reach stage 5 you can go down and find a machine that lets you put code and will give you Artifact of Comamnd if you put the right sequence, it lets you choose item instead of getting random item from chests, also on Stage 5 you can click on the teleporter prongs to re-arrange it so you can loop the stage instead of going to Mithrix.
On Abyssal Depths and Sundered Grove there's a hidden Red Chest that give you guaranteed Legendary Item
On Siren's Call you can destroy 5-6 Egg/Bird Nest to spawn a Hidden boss that gives you Legendary Item too
A good trick to finding teleporters faster is look around, but look for tiny lil red balls in the sky, the teleporter has an aura of them that can be seen from very far.
Im soo glad you chose to play this game. Also i like your tone and gameplay
I like to add swarms to that setup.
if i remember correctly you can choose not to go to the end boss level (14:15) if you interact with the side of the teleporter and go for another loop
Hey DF!
Here’s some funne tips:
If you’re on the map Sirens Call try to find and destroy the eggs on the map
Try playing with Mul-T, you’ll like him very much.
Chronobauble doesn’t slow the enemy’s attack speed, only movement speed
High attack speed is cool but seeing all the on hit items go off is even cooler, especially on captian
It’s actually 7:57
Im sure you know this, but scrap does work with 3D printers, and it will automatically use the scrap IF its the same color. So White scrap gets used for white items, green for green, ect ect
Scrap works with the color of the printer only. white scrap for white items, green for green, so on so forth. That, and the exchanges in the bazaar and the moon will take scrap before they take regular items. Also same thign there, if it says "3 items" then you need 3 items of whichever color the text is.
You have no Idea what kind of addicting road you are going down, this game is fucking great
This is an old vid, but DF, here's a tip, on the lowest difficulty, anything through hard is basically Easy, anything up the the difficulty bar mocking you is basically Normal, and Everything past is basically Hard. It's cool that they have you it scale more incrementally, but when you see INSANE difficulty, it's a little scary until you try out the other difficulties and understand how easy the whole thing was before.
Your Hooks of Heresy is actually very fast moving if you hold down the button for it. The longer you hold the button for it, the faster it gets.
Just wait until he learns about proc builds
Since the game gets harder over time and there’s only a certain number of chests on each stage, you should be getting 3 to 5 items and be starting the teleporter at 4 to 5 minutes in.
This game gets INSANELY crazy later in and there will always be some other stupid printer later on
P.S. you can “loop” the game by interacting with the outside of the stage 5 teleporter so that it “aligns with the planet” and keep going with a run! (Around the first loop is when you start to get completely out of control) Love your content and I’d love for you to really see the craziness of this game.
This has been one of my favorite games for years and now you’re finally playing it!
in case you didn't know, on the level where the teleporter boss was a magma worm, you can destroy the white eggs hidden around the level and it will spawn a boss, which will 100% drop a random legendary item.
