I had loved him as a child and still love him! I think he was the most wonderful voice artist. There will never be another like him. His associations with Mr. Jack Benny are just hilarious.
I grew up with Mel Blanc and never had seen him interviewed. What a talented and humble human being. The story of his car accident is incredible! Definitely will need to read up on this legend.
What a wonderful man. I went to Wikipedia and read interesting things about him. He has a simple gravestone with "That's all folks" on it. It isn't all as long as we can replay those wonderful cartoons we grew up with.
I wish it would have said (like Porky Pig) the theuh, the theuh, the theuh, that's all folks. What an AWESOME man. thanks, Mel, for making my childhood WONERFUL!
Mel kept asking the casting director for an audition and the casting director kept telling him we have enough voices. After over a year of asking the casting director, the casting director died and the new guy finally gave him a chance and the rest is history.

Brilliant to watch Mel Blanc a genius at cartoon character voices, its a pity there wasn't a video that didn't have so many faults including low sound.
Such admiration for this man. He made my childhood truly special. Utmost respect and love for Mel Blanc. Thank you for everything you did for us kids growing up back in the days during the golden age of cartoons. RIP sir
Mel Blanc had a God given voice/es . He really was blessed by God. He was meant to show the world that this world with its problems is still a beautiful place, and that we are meant to laugh alot too.
Mr. Blanc you were tops with me and I'm thankful I grew when cartoons were the best. You'd be very disappointed in what kids watch today. Thank God we have you on tape to watch over and over again. You were the man!!
What a sweet man. It's interesting: do you notice just how many of the voices Mel recognizes? far more than any other guest of honour I've ever seen on this show. He really did have an incredible gift for voices.
Mel Blanc was and still is an icon in the animation and voice acting industry. He'll always be remembered for bringing to life countless characters by their voices.
This is great! And hosted by Joseph Campanella, who's still with is at 91 yrs. young. 1984,....the year I graduated from high school. This is the kind of thing I used to come home and watch at lunch my senior year. Love Mel! Love him. I've said for many year,...a shame that no one had the foresight to record audio of him doing some of the great cartoons he voiced.
assignmentearth totally agree, Mel is truly was the greatest voice creator of all time. He will be missed, but I hope his films and recordings never fade away.
Mel said once that Bugs was his main charachter nearest to his heart and it makes sense as it was "Bugs" that was the part of his brain that was still kicking despite the coma :D
I'm thinking of maybe one day going to cast in for Elmer Fudd, Speedy, Sylvester, or Daffy. Those are the ones I can do best. Daffy's voice is basically just Sylvester's but sped up for craziness.
The strange irony is that Mel Blanc passed away on his successor, Jeff Bergman's 29th birthday(Jeff is still Bugs Bunny)- Mel helped pave the way for today's animation voice-over kings, namely Frank Welker and Jim Cummings!!!
Mel and Jack Benny were very close friends. Not many know this, but Jack told the hospital and the doctors to send him the bills, that Jack would pay for everything Mel would need. How's that for a friend/boss?
TheFashiongirl23 No, in exchange for no raise Leon Schlesinger who was the producer of the Looney Tunes shorts back then gave him on screen credit even if Mel himself didn't voice the character. Like with Elmer. Again there was a few times in the original shorts that Mel did do some lines as Elmer. For example the Smog line from What's Opera Doc. Or if he had few lines. But it was an actor named Arthur Q Bryan who was Elmer's voice during most of the original shorts. The specials on the otherhand, yes that was Mel. But not the original shorts with few exemptions. Even Hal Smith and Dave Berry did Elmer in three combined shorts. With Hal voicing Elmer after Arthur's death. Berry filled in for one short while Arthur was still alive.
TheFashiongirl23 I already said why. Mel got an exclusive contract at Warner Brothers and exchange for not giving him a raise Schlesinger gave him solo voice credit instead. There's even of clip of Arthur on You Tube using Elmer"s voice.
Too bad the quality and sound not good in this video but have never seen this. Mel Blanc the man who put voices to hundreds of cartoon characters who otherwise would be Blanc. RIP Mel 🙏

This brings tears to my eyes. I don't think that the modern audience realizes what he did for the world. Truly a remarkable man.
Arguably the most talented man ever to come out of Hollywood.
There is a mountain of talent in the world, Mel Blanc sits at the top. Thats All Folks....R.I.P.
Sad there all gone now, im in my 40’s, grew up on Looney Tunes, and still love it. Thanks for the memories
I have tremendous respect for both Mel Blanc and Chuck Jones. They WERE Warner Bros. Animation and part of so many of our lives growing up
I had loved him as a child and still love him!
The accident occurred on the infamous "Dead Man's Curve" popularized in the Jan and Dean song of the same name per the Wikipedia article of his bio.
What a wonderful man. I went to Wikipedia and read interesting things about him. He has a simple gravestone with "That's all folks" on it. It isn't all as long as we can replay those wonderful cartoons we grew up with.

I thin Mel Blanc was genuinely humbled by this tribute to his talents are career. He seems like that kind of a person.
Mel and Chuck...thank you the art you guys created for my childhood
This man is truly a soundtrack of people's whole lives. Whoever met Mel sure was lucky.
I could not stop smiling at this video because it was so wholesome what a good man he was
Simply put Mel Blanc is the GREATEST character voice over actor there will ever be! NO ONE will ever come close to the talent that Mel possessed!
Frank Welker comes close in terms of talent, but he doesn't come across as outgoing as the great Mr. Blanc.
YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN🥰😁👍👍❣️
Mel was the best they’ll never be another one like him he was truly unique
Mel kept asking the casting director for an audition and the casting director kept telling him we have enough voices. After over a year of asking the casting director, the casting director died and the new guy finally gave him a chance and the rest is history.
R.I.P. Mr.Mel Blank you made us laugh and you still are I listen to your podcast. Thank You God grant his eternal light upon you.................

Absolutely no need for apologies! Thank you so much! Laughter helps us all take a break from a sometimes cruel world. Please stay well & safe!! Pax

This man made my childhood special he is so missed & was so talented
He was the best actor of all time if you stop and think about it. Changing roles like he did constantly.
Mel, you enriched the world with your fantastic talent, we all salute you !!
Mr. Blanc you were tops with me and I'm thankful I grew when cartoons were the best. You'd be very disappointed in what kids watch today. Thank God we have you on tape to watch over and over again. You were the man!!
In tears seeing his neurosurgeon showed up for this great occasion!
Such a shame about the video quality but still amazing that this exists even in such condition.
What a sweet man. It's interesting: do you notice just how many of the voices Mel recognizes? far more than any other guest of honour I've ever seen on this show. He really did have an incredible gift for voices.
Apparently it wasn't just performing voices he was good at, but recognizing them too.
That was beautiful! Thank you for sharing that with us. Mel Blanc was a genius with his cartoon voice repertoire.
Beautifulmusiclistnr Si!

A genius on radio, TV and helping out with the USO and World War II morale in general!
Mel Blanc was and still is an icon in the animation and voice acting industry. He'll always be remembered for bringing to life countless characters by their voices.
Why can't we have more shows like this?
Corporate greed mostly.
R.I.P. Mel Blanc and Chuck Jones
Plus RIP to Joseph Barbera who was also there talking about The Flintstones.
And William hanna also
RIP Joe Campanella
Still making people smile... thanks Mel 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Rob Dewey Is that young guy Mel's son? I can't hear!
He was one AMAZING human being! ❤ Thanks for sharing!

I never get tired of watching Mel Blanc or listening to him. He was such a genius, and watching him on reruns of The Jack Benny Show is the best!
assignmentearth totally agree, Mel is truly was the greatest voice creator of all time.
He will be missed, but I hope his films and recordings never fade away.
A true American icon!
Shame that they did not have a better Video of this Show etc, RIP Mel you are sadly missed by all of your Fans etc.
Mel Blacke what a wonderful man in voice over. R.I.P.
Mel Blanc👍👏😍
This made my day! I'm glad he knew how loved he was!
This is what a real entertainer should be
Too bad woke would say no no to that today
So glad I grew up seeing Mel Blanc.
Blanc was excellent on the "Jack Benny Program"....and survived being Jack's violin teacher....
Mel said once that Bugs was his main charachter nearest to his heart and it makes sense as it was "Bugs" that was the part of his brain that was still kicking despite the coma :D
God bless him. What a man.
What a lovely, lovely man.
Craig Nevermind I'm going Wabbit hunting! WHERES THAT kwazy Wabbit????
I'm thinking of maybe one day going to cast in for Elmer Fudd, Speedy, Sylvester, or Daffy. Those are the ones I can do best. Daffy's voice is basically just Sylvester's but sped up for craziness.
Lots of happy memories. Thank you Mel Blanc.
You’re welcome kiddo.
I felt close emotional and happy that bugs bunny did save mel blanc's life
Geez, Mel brings out the bull anecdote all the time, but I didn't know Chuck and Ted were involved. Thanks for the video!!!
There's Mel Blanc and then there's everyone else
The strange irony is that Mel Blanc passed away on his successor, Jeff Bergman's 29th birthday(Jeff is still Bugs Bunny)- Mel helped pave the way for today's animation voice-over kings, namely Frank Welker and Jim Cummings!!!
Thanks! First time I've seen his wife!
I just subscribed! God blessed us with Mel!
Just realized I am sitting here by myself smiling.... what a person.
purdyquibb me too!
YOU CAN'T SEE THE REST OF US, BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS WATCHING THIS AND SMILING.
Mel and Jack Benny were very close friends. Not many know this, but Jack told the hospital and the doctors to send him the bills, that Jack would pay for everything Mel would need. How's that for a friend/boss?
This brings to mind the Merrie Melodies episode, “This Is A Life?” 😂
What’s up Doc?
Mel was not just the voice of the characters; he was the creator of the characters.
Mel Blanc wasn't Elmer Fudd til after Arthur Q Bryan passed away. (Especially during the 1970s to 1989.) Though Mel did rarely filled in at times.
TheFashiongirl23 No, in exchange for no raise Leon Schlesinger who was the producer of the Looney Tunes shorts back then gave him on screen credit even if Mel himself didn't voice the character. TheFashiongirl23 Yes I did. It might not had been clear enough but I did gave a explanation.
TheFashiongirl23 Nonetheless did the explanation afterward answer your question?
This was great! Thank you Mel
Pressed by mistake anyway what a great man you can feel the warmth
Great Guy. That's All Folks.
Too bad the quality and sound not good in this video but have never seen this. Mel Blanc the man who put voices to hundreds of cartoon characters who otherwise would be Blanc. RIP Mel 🙏
Whoah Mel bidibidi Blancsssth suffering sucatash and I hear Chuck passed as well r i.p cartoon legends
The best!!
So basically after the accident Mel recorded the Flintstones in his house With the whole entire cast
He could do any real life accent and you could believe he was from there.
I would love to see that
I'm old enough to have seen this and I dont remember any channel showing this!!
Boy, Mel could do anything.
sergioalpert66 But how?
@@sandralee9155 eat shit
And do it better than anyone. ❣😊
This is the greatest man of all cartoon history. I see bugs bunny when i look at him.
Remember, he also was the first to make voice acting the true art that it is. And of course, nobody has done it better before or since.😊
When the equivalent of 1984-1934 is 50 years while the same equivalent for today would be 2020-1970
That takes guts
I swear some folks give thumbs down just to be doing it
Si…sucks
Pure Genius 😎
Seems like Mel never got tired of telling how he came up with Bugs Bunny's voice
Wow! Chuck Jones

This is a GREAT video however... It looks like it was "pirated" from another source? Ashame if so because none of n.v the people involved receives a royalty payment for their good work if so.
Mel Blanc had balls to record while he was in traction For the Flintstones
Wym he recorded other work besides Flinstones?
There's no need for vulgarity. It only shows a lack of character & decency.
Oh how I dont miss VHS
Did they. Ever measure his vocal cords
Why does young Mel Blanc look like Jerome Squalor from A series of unfortunate events and vise versa?
Do you have the beginning and/or the whole episode? If not, find someone who does.
Unfortunately, I don't.
The video was piss poor but it was still fun to watch. Mel Blanc was the greatest.
That was Glenn Miller in that clip
fine bros? yep, me too.
It would have been much better if they had Ralph Edward's hosting the life of Mel Blanc
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Do you happen to have the clip of him and his best friend Harry Jackson talking in the show.
You know, I don't really miss the VHS/Beta days...... 🤣🤣🤣
the lack of tracking is killing me
