Your videos have been incredibly helpful for me as a new Rookie. Always loved racing games like GT growing up, but the competitive aspect is something that’s new to me. Thanks for all the content and keep it up!
In my opinion 1 of the best tracks for the MX5. I did a 1:37.021 today and when ur on it this track really has a great flow for the Mazda. Gotta love it!!
Very new to sim racing. Missed last week for a business trip, and now we're on to a track I kinda know from the very old days! Starting out with your and another fellow's track guides (multiple touches are always best) and I hope I can improve in the Mazda this week despite losing that week of time. We'll see and maybe I'll come back and update (I shaved off quite a lot of time a couple weeks ago). Definitely appreciate these videos!
Hi, great detailed track guide! I think you're the most informative out there. I find the Telemetry display really helpful and would like to use something similar for my practice sessions. Is it an add-on to iRacing? Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. Yes - it’s a separate product called RaceLab Apps. You can display the telemetry on screen as you drive and there are guides to setting it up on TH-cam. Good luck!
@@FindingSpeed Dunno yet. I missed last week due to this GPU thing. I'm waiting on a refund to be issued so it may be a week or more before I'm up and running again. Might be new season before I'm back racing. I wanted to get 2k in my 1st season but idleness and this GPU means it's not happening :(
Bah, sorry to hear that mate. You’ll get there soon enough! I’m doing my first enduro this weekend since putting my back out. EES in the Porsche RSR at Le Mans 😳
Single file on formation lap is recommended there. As for the race itself, I would rather sacrifice the position that force side-by-side with cold tyres (or even in the first part of the race for that matter). Anyone crazy enough to force a side-by-side at the start I’d likely to kill themselves / others before too long!
Thanks so much for the breakdown, it's super helpful! Is there any chance you can do the Advanced Mazda series tracks too next season? My experience in that series is that my fastest lap time is usually just behind most people's average : /
Hard to say without seeing your driving, but it sounds like you’re lifting out of the brake way too fast. Don’t focus on wheee I start breaking - focus on where I stop braking (and how I trail the brake into the apex). This will keep your car more stable and controllable during corner entry.
1:55 Its kind of dangerous taking this corner at third gear on the Red because if you go TOO far inside that Red Curb spits you out to the Wall on the Right (Plenty of experience with the Laguna Swamp there :)
That’s the specific challenge of that corner. Since the exit is all uphill, a shift to second will destroy your momentum (and you’ll be easily passed into the next complex). Can’t remember the last time I went off there to be honest. Racing is dangerous - that’s half the fun!
I just escaped rookie league with a race on laguna. Such a fun track, even though I unlocked more races i think ill stick with laguna all week. Hopefully this video helps get my times a bit lower, I've noticed you take the turns much tighter than I do so time to try that out. Thank you for all you do!

Love your videos, I'll be here all week long
Thanks Ben. Hope you get some good results 🏁
@@FindingSpeed It looks so easy when you do it. I will tell you my best time the end of the week hahah
Thank you bro! You helped me get down to a comfortable 1:38 range. Still can’t match you!
Great work! You’ll get there. Every season, each time the track comes up you’ll be faster 🏁
your guides help me a lot, thanks
Thanks Timski. Good luck on the track 🏁
Great content - nice job mate
Thanks James. Hope it’s helped!

@@FindingSpeed Lots of straights to ease your back at least! I'll try and drop in if you're streaming. I'm sure you've put in the practice 🤣
🥳
Warm up lap side by side in the dipper is the hardest bit

I just got the game yesterday and this video really halped me
Thanks for the kind comment. Good luck with your iRacing career 🏁
thank you so much.
Thanks for watching!
Didn't race last week at all but i can't miss out on a Mazda at Laguna Seca!
Too right! Good luck 🏁

Thanks Zach. I’ll definitely be racing Advanced Mazda - I’ll add it to my list of potentials (no promises, though).
Best track for pure racing I reckon
Great track for racing - one of the best! 🏁
I dont know if its my config of the car or what is it. But if I break while turnig as u do on turns 2 and 5. My car spins immediately.
Any advise?
