Weirdly, althpugh I'm a retro toy/action figure addict I never knew Tron figures existed until the release of Tron 2.0 !! I would have killed for a light cycle and some figs as a kid.

Nice TRON collection. That Tron tabletop I used to play in Hamleys in the early 80's. They had all the tabletops on demo display. Couldn't afford the arcades so spent all day Saturdays in Hamleys. FLYNN

Loved this video, I have the Tomy figures and light cycles, but hadn't realised that NECA released a blue one - may have to hunt that one down :) Amazing collection, especially the vinyl's EOL

Had to do some digging, but I think I'm correct in saying Tron actually came out for rental on video in the UK at the end of '83. It was re-released in '86, and then released as a sell-through in '89.

@@JulesBurt I do! I have 2 sets of the original figures, two yellow light cycles and one red. I have a sark still in the box. I have both soundtracks on vinyl, the original book, and all the new figures haha I'll make a video of them soon 👍 I'm trying to get an arcade cabinet now that's my dream haha

A great collection there Jules, really enjoyed seeing everything. Love the Tron table-top video game. What were your thoughts on the second movie? I liked the visuals and the Daft Punk soundtrack but that was about it.

Do u have any of the Tron activity books that came out at the time? I have one I got from a second hand stall back in the 80s . Published by PURNELL called "Tron - Electronic puzzle world." With your usual word searches and mazes and colouring pages. Have you seen/got this one? I could never find much Tron merch at the time as with The Black Hole but it must be out there somewhere !

I've not got that one. Although I have picked Tron and Black Hole stuff up over the years, I've never gone totally out of my way to track new items down. They just seem to end up in the collection. That book sounds cool though.🙂
