Worth a good laugh on the boat. Reminds me of how windy and cold it was on the ferry from Isle of Skye to Oban on our trip. Naxos sounds great. Love the older stuff!!!!

You can carry off any color Lia, the red is just as lovely as the Cobalt Blue, I used to buy colors like Fuchsia, Bright Greens, Blues, but they would remain in the closet (maybe because I'm a Scorpio,lol). Great to see Christy (sp.?), loved where you went and the places you stayed, you are living life and I highly recommend doing exactly that. How much fun! I love when trips have a layover night like that. I know other people hate it, I’m like what are you talking about? I am coming to Britain in 2024 and my two stops will be away overnight in New York City. I should even be able to pop in to the outlet malls in New Jersey Newark, real fast, yay! Then coming home I’ll be stopping in Brussels for a night. I definitely will have time for a walk about that night. Then a really super nice breakfast and stroll the next morning with plenty enough time to return to the airport.

Italian flag 🙂 I still feel like I have failed as an intellectual because I don't speak Greek or Latin! lol! Less true today, but in centuries past, that was certainly the mark of the scholar, to be able to read and write ancient Greek and Latin...of course, MODERN Greek is probably a lot different from ancient Greek, just like "Middle English" would be hard to understand for us speakers of modern English! At least I have read the Iliad and the Odyssey, albeit in English! Oh and I subscribed to "backpacking bananas" 🙂
