Imagine blood vessels like water hoses. When you squeeze the hose (vasoconstrict), less water flows through, building pressure within. This works in tiny blood vessels too, making the heart push less hard and lowering overall blood pressure!

I'm so confused by the example question regarding blood vessels. Constrict doesn't make any sense here. If you constricted the blood vessels, this would cause MORE pressure if the blood volume stayed the same, not less. If the space the blood can travel through is constricted (smaller) then the pressure would have to increase. It's just physics. That's why when people have plaque build up, they tend to have higher blood pressure because their blood vessels have becomes smaller in diameter due to the build up. Am I missing something here? I thought expand made the most sense here. Please let me know!

is there any math on it?. i was told there’s only grammar vocabulary and ready, but the practice and videos i’ve seen says math is on there
@@danielaperkins9659yes the HESI has a math section but it’s basic math, so no need to learn Calculus or things like that it’s Algebra 1 and below

If the blood vessels were constricted, wouldn't that cause the BP to raise and not be reduced? Confused on that question.
Because they are constricted there is decreased blood flor passing through the veins.
I agree with you. When the diameter of the blood vessel decreased, BP would rise if the blood volume is the same.
